Minolta Rokkor Lenses had MC, or MD mountings (the lens should have these letters around the lens somewhere...usually after the focal length). These lenses will only fit the Sony Alpha 100 (or any Alpha series Sony) with an adaptor, of which many are available online, of varying quality, and some can be pricey. The Alpha 100 can use any Minolta AF lens however, and these are good quality, plentiful and cheap secondhand (even though the construction ...mostly from plastic...can seem a bit insubstantial).
So, if you have Minolta Rokkor Lenses with and MD, or MC mount from the Minolta X-700, or SRT ranges or earlier, they will not fit the A100 without an adaptor. see less
