A cable tie has temporally solved the issue for me, though im thinking of perhaps superglueing some kind of clip to it... why they designed the clip like that baffles my mind.

Way too long if you plan to use it with your computer. It's probably 2.5-3m long though.

Yes but i wouldn't recommend it for that. That's not really what it's designed for so the audio quality is not really up to recording artist quality. It's more for talking than singing.

The way I figured to fix this problem was to double fold the bit it was grabbing onto and then that would generally be thick enough for the microphone to clip onto.
