I don't know what you are referring to with MAtt Silver, but Jewel case means that the DVDs are in individual cases.

It was some years since I bought this product. From the written details, photograph and specification I would guess that there are five discs.

Hi Jennifer. I have a Panasonic DVD and VHS combi recorder and have done loads of copying from VHS tape to DVD with the Verbatim DVDs with great success so I don't see why a Toshiba should be any different. I have even used extended play on them and transfered 4 x 2 hour films with very good quality.

If recording onto dvd from external source then 1st check whether recording device works with -rw or +rw discs. Purchase accordingly. Formatt the dvd 1st and then record. Once finalised then most if not all devices will play either -rw or +rw types of dvd.
