From what I know, some prefer spotting scopes as it gives the user the same sort of feel and view, that the shooter has down his/her scope. I've got the 20x80 and they are awesome. I use them for astronomy, seeing the moon through them is amazing. They are huge but mine are sat on a tripod in the house. Bigger is better in this case!

To be honest i'm not overly sure but I have both a celestron telescope and also the binoculars
Both are superb and give massive quality for viewing the moon etc. If i were you go for the telescope first which is compatible with cameras and computers. Both are fantastic so whether its hd or not the results… see more
