Can i plug a phone in and use it to receive calls via the sim card

This seems to be a WRONG ANSWER from the manufacturer. I recently bought the B525s-23a. I put a SIM card for data and calls (unlimited calls) into it and it works fine. Th… see more This seems to be a WRONG ANSWER from the manufacturer. I recently bought the B525s-23a. I put a SIM card for data and calls (unlimited calls) into it and it works fine. I plugged my landline ordinary phone into the B525 which has a RJ11 phone socket. I can make calls to any landline or mobile number using the phone. The phone takes its number from the phone number of the SIM. I can also send and receive texts via the home page of the B525. I can also receive calls from any landline or mobile number. The caller just has to dial the phone number of the SIM that is in the B525. My phone has a built in answer machine to take messages if I don't answer and that all works too.
A really neat solution because it gives you both data and calls and texts. Who needs a landline with that as an alternative????????
There is of course a risk that Huawei have just disabled the phone operation in future models, hard to believe and would be a big retrograde step see less

The Huawei B525 is a Mobile WiFi that works with a SIM card. It's main purpose is to provide internet access, therefore it is no capable of receiving or making phone calls via the SIM card.
