I would contact garmin directly. They are supposed to have one of the best customer services department. I've never contacted them myself but from reading other online reviews, they are willing to replace or repair faulty units.

I can confirm they have exceptional customer service. If it is still in warranty then they will swap it immediately. If it is out of warranty then they will make a small charge, but you will probably be given a new unit.
