How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Great little milk frother. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store. Even the most unskilled of person could make frothy milk with this - I did!

It frothed my milk, cows milk and plant based milk, lasted me a few months and I accidentally bent it!

On the plus side, i've yet to find a better version of this stick but i'm looking.
Issues:
1) batteries can't be used to even half capacity, because if they're not at a certain level of charge, the motor is too slow to get microfoam.
2) for those who may have been using this brand for awhile the motor changed - much rougher in the hand.
3) worse bit: motor really does give out - no matter how fresh the batteries
I've used this brand since 2013, really because from looking at product reviews, it doesn't seem there's one that lasts longer or is as strong as this one - even with its faults - which is why i've been frustrated in looking for an alternative.
MOTOR strength for MICRO FOAM IN PARTICULAR:
(micro foam is that very non-bubbly flat milk foam you'll see when patterns are made in the milk)
One of the factors that makes this worthwhile over the others that are cheaper is the motor. The others may look the same, but if they're cheaper, the motor will be weaker, and you'll be where you'd be at with this thing towards its end of life.
The one i'm about to replace has lasted 10months (i can see this from the Amazon "you last purchased"). THe life span is shrinking for something used daily, once a day, for less than a minute.
1) - Batteries - while frustrating is easy to sort with rechargeable batteries. Any vid that shows this kind of device in use for latte art for example recommends rechargeables - totally agreed and i'd do that with any brand that used AA's. They need to be practically full to drive the motor.
2) Vibration/Feel - once upon a time these had no vibration in the hand - really minimal - and theyr'e also the ones that lasted longest - in fact i still have one for travel. A couple years ago, something changed and they now feel rought. Initially i thought something was broken, and returned for a replacement. Turns out not the case: it's the new normal
3) LIFE SPAN: today, i can deny it no longer - the motor is no longer functioning well enough to produce smooth micro foam . I know this is happening when after the same time as always there are bubbles in the milk surface. with fresh batteries. It means the motor is no longer turning the spindle fast enough to create the right kind of froth.
Has the thing actually died? no. But it's not as one reviewer "fit for purpose" anymore.
If you just want a whisk say for matcha in green tea - or you don't care about microfoam, this could be ok for longer. But,
am i saying this is just slowing down, below fit for purpose or
Will it die?
Yes i've had that happen right out before i knew how to read The Signs and thought "oh this must be my technique is suddenly shot" or " the cows must be on different feed [that can happen: protein content is pretty important to foam]" - but no - really it's the tool: too many folks are reporting the same issue.
It's quite telling the number of longer term users who are frustrated with these same issues.
* REPURCHASE?
So here's where i'm at: ten quid is not nothing, and i would have liked to have gotten a year at least out of this device. Or two or three. It would be great if the company actually seemed to be listening about the motor issues (why did it become so much rougher in the hand? what is the life expectancy of the motor)
And ten quid is less than what? three lattes at a coffee joint?
But that's not the point. The point is: there's not, as far as i know, an alternative. And so i'm feeling stuck having to go with something i know is going to die likely sooner each year and feel worse to use.

I'm currently having amazing success following an ultra-low carb hugh fat (ketogenic) diet. My mornings start with a delicious bulletproof tea - good cup of tea with a tablespoon of
PVL Essentials 100 Percent Pure MCT Oil 1 Litre
and a tablespoon of
Biona Organic Coconut Cuisine 800 g
.
Putting the oils directly into hot liquid just leaves a film of grease on top, so you need to blend it until it emulsifies and becomes creamy ( the reason I drink bulletproof tea and not coffee is that I drink black coffee and adding the oils makes it taste too much like a latte for my liking!). I usually use a magic bullet blender but this has its drawbacks. Firstly, you really aren't supposed to put hot liquid in a sealed blender as this can make the hot liquid "explode" all over you when you open it. Secondly, you need to clean out the oily bullet mug as well as the separate blade attachment -and I am clumsy enough to keep cutting myself on the blade.
I saw a top tip that an Aerolatte could be used to do the same job and required a lot less washing up! My Aerolatte arrived today and I immediately set about making my coconut tea. It WORKS! It works really well and really quickly. The only thing I will advise is not to fill up your cup/mug too near the top or the swirling liquid will spill over the side when you mix it.
I love the storage case this comes in because I have previously had cheap milk frothers and they got ruined in the cutlery drawer. They also didn't have the power to blend bulletproof drinks, so the Aerolatte is definitely worth spending the extra couple of pounds on.
I also love the chunky handle and button on this design as I have limited grip due to lupus in my joints and this is really easy and comfortable to use.
Overall, I think this is a really well-made gadget and I'm looking forward to using it every day...........might even whip up some egg whites with it!

I use this every day and have done so for 5-6 years. I need to buy a new one every two years as it wears out, but the quality of this compared to a similar product is the difference between night and day.
The other product doesn't froth the milk, it only mixes the milk a little, and then you can hear it struggling. This is froths the milk so much it overflows the mug.
Shame I tried to save a couple of £'s on something cheaper, I've wasted that money as the cheaper one is off straight to the bin...

Good and effective.
Froths up milks between red (skimmed) to blue (normal) a treat.
You can easily treble -to-quadruple the volume of the milk.
Does most of the nut-milks and oat milks very nicely.
The foam is very 'dry', and I can't seem to get microfoam suitable for latte-art or for flat-whites, though.
Makes wonderful 'babyccinos' for the kids.
I chose this one, even though it is a bit more expensive than most of the others because it takes AA batteries rather than AAA.
I was impressed that the company have gone to the effort of commissioning Aerolatte branded batteries, which they provide with the product.
This gives it the feeling of quality.
Note some of the others have a 'double whisking head'. I suspect they have an even more frothy result.
Any experts out there who can clarify? Can anyone make coffee-shop quality microfoam and do latte-art? Please do comment.

Pretty good frother however you can get exact designs from IKEA for £1!
takes some practise to get the perfect froth ( e.g how hot your milk is, when cup to froth it in, which angle to hold it at etc) but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be creating barista style frothed milk.
Can be used with hot or cold milk
Only issue when cleaning, is the whisk is very delicate and may break if not gentle.
