WOW ... this is finally a hand held sharpener that works, now before i start, this wont make your knife like a razor, BUT it will make it extremely sharp, if you want a razor sharp knife for sushi work etc then please purchase Waterstones.
If your a home cook with decent knives then you are in for a treat with this.
we purchased some Henckles Motion knifes and they needed a quick touch up after some weeks, so i purchased a knife sharpener made by Sabatier and it was good but i still felt i was missing something, BUT i didnt want to learn the waterstones, so my wife went searching and found this, and we came to the idea that henckles make great knives so they must make a good sharpener, well they dont .... they make a amazing sharpener.
it took our henckles knvies to a amazing edge, and really got them cutting like new,
very very well built, and very nice cosmetically.
well worth a buy, and i feel it will last a lifetime
this sharpener will NOT sharpen Japanese knives so please be warned
