Neat little device. The aerial folds down if not being used. I had it working in about 10 minutes of opening the box so very easy to set up if you already know your ISP details. It sits flat on the desk only, this one doesn't have a stand so you can't put it on it's side.

The configuration of the router was no problem. I lock down my wireless access to MAC addresses. This was easy, but you can only add/delete addresses not edit existing ones - slight pain but no big deal. The device lets you have up to four wireless networks so this is really handy if you have a visitor you want to give access to - as you just configure a new SSID and enable it when you are giving them permission and disable when you aren't. This means you don't have to give them your security key and can use a new one just for them.

The signal strength from the router was excellent and better than my old linksys router. So pleased with purchase.

I didn't spot this is an 802.11G wireless router, not the much faster 802.11N (my fault), so if its max wireless speed you're after, this isn't for you. But as a DSL modem it does the job and, so far, has cut down on the dropped connections that plagued my previous Linksys WAG 160N.

I'm using this with the Apple Extreme 802.11N wireless router (a superb pice of kit, expensive but worth it), so the Zoom's slower wireless speed isn't an issue for me.

This is the second of these I have had and each was as worthless as the other.

The internet signal drifts in and out, you end up restarting it twice a day just to get it to work, it is totally unreliable and honestly not worth the money that they charge for it.

If you even bother to try to communicate with customer services at Zoom they treat you like you are stupid and it is your fault it does not work. Premium rates too of course.

Ultimately I returned both of them and bought a different type which works faultlessly all day every day. It has not been touched since it was set up.

Buy a Zoom and you will regret it, I certainly did. Lots of lights but not much service !

I've had this for three months and its failed completely, not only did I lose broadband via both cable and wireless, but it also prevented my credit card terminal from working. Very poor life
