Product Description

Bridge could be the perfect game. Its ease of play marks it out as a firm favourite for casual gamers, whilst the huge depth of strategy and vast intricacies involved allow it to be a game that can be studied by the most serious card student.

Bridge is played by four players who form two partnerships. Players within a partnership face each other across the bridge table. Traditionally, the players are referred to by the points of the compass - North, East, South and West. The two partnerships are North/South and East/West. Games are played to the best of three. The winner is said to have won the "rubber". A game ends when one partnership scores 100 or more points below the line.

Bridge now includes a comprehensive bid analyzer. Enquire how Bridge has interpreted your bids or see how Bridge is expecting you to have interpreted the bids the game engine has made.

I write this after only three days of use, so any negative comments may be down to my not having discovered all the attributes of the app. The layout of the screen and playing of the cards are fine but I have questions against the bidding where it is not clear what the rules are. On one early hand it gave me an opening bid of 1NT from my partner, which I assumed meant 12-14 points, only to find when the bidding had finished and the hand revealed, that partner had opened 1NT with 18 points.

This is a Bridge game for one or more local players. It is not a game played on the internet against other human opponents. The player takes the place of South working with North as a human or computer player. Bidding proceeds according to whatever conventions are set in the settings section and game commences. There is a go back option to resume play from any card or bid. This is useful to see how the bidding mechanism of the other players works.

The human player takes control of the computer partner so if North has the contract then you play as North with your South hand displayed.

It is simple to play but hard to beat. East/West regularly have a game winning hand and are masters of cross trumping. I am not a great player so for me there is much to learn and I like that.

My only concern is how my partner bids. On occasion I have opened with a week one diamond, passed on the next round of bidding and ended up being in for 5 diamonds when my partner goes all in. Neither of us have the hand to support the bid and we go down by 4 or 5. Hopefully I will work it out. A no bid doesn't get the same result so perhaps that is the answer!

Within a day I paid for the upgrade to remove adverts and I think it well worth it. This is a great app.

I'm only a beginner at Bridge but I found this to be a great help in getting used to the game, used in conjunction with a good book I've managed to pick up a lot of the game although I have a very long way to go yet!

I like the game and scoring is included so this is helpful but play is sometimes difficult. Partner may bid while I pass and yet I am declarer which is a little strange, but I can handle this I guess. Profile of players is not displayed so ???? ACOL ? American
weak NT, Weak or Strong 2,s etc.

Looking for a simple bridge playing game then this seems fine. Haven't played enough to say that all available conventions are accurate. It plays automatically when there is only one option which is good and has a good flexible replay function.

The cardplay is fine, and making the contracts can be tricky, but the product falls down for me, in 2 ways:
The bidding options are very limited as the program does not recognise standard conventions
The comparison after the hand explains how the computer would have done, but does not give an indication whether the contract was a good one.

Very compelling but annoying adverts can be slow to clear I guess that if you buy the full version you don't get them! . Sometimes get a strange bid from your "partner" but overall it's quite realistic
