This is an antiquated translation from the 19th century. I don't recommend this as the translator frequently misses out on the intended wit and humour.
Some more recent and better translations are available by Angus Graham, Burton Watson, Victor Mair, Brook Ziporyn and J.P. Seaton.

HASH(0x947d5054) out of 5 stars This Kindle version is well done! 20 Dec. 2014

The table of contents help navigating through the book easily. The English translation helps people like me who can read modern Chinese but have difficulty with ancient Chinese from time to time.

If you are interested in the topic of Taoism, it is a necessity to read this, as much as the Tao Te Ching.

HASH(0x9549296c) out of 5 stars This used to be free (James Legge translation is public domain) 5 Feb. 2014
By coke - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
In regards to the writing, I really enjoy this translation by Legge. While not very smooth in how the English flows, the rough grammar compliments the ideas expressed, for me.

The rating is for adding a price for this public domain work, and adding a strange cover. This used to be free.

It's public domain, available elsewhere for free, without the cover. Google helps

HASH(0x948f2e64) out of 5 stars The book looks worse than a galley proof 9 May 2016
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Hideous layout, fonts, margins. Inexplicable cover. The book looks worse than a galley proof. No note on the translation, and no introduction ... for a work that was written TWO THOUSAND YEARS ago in ANCIENT CHINESE. The back matter is (seriously) lifted from the introduction of the Wikipedia page on the book.

I can't imagine a shoddier product. On the other hand, the Zhuangzi itself is wonderful. Just don't buy it from this publisher.
