5.0 out of 5 stars Yuki's Story 4 July 2016

I didn't want the story to ever end. I've noticed from Facebook photos that the author has another endearing dog now, Tashi, so I'm hoping for a sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Capivating and Fascinating! 6 Sept. 2016
By Karen Seader - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I absolutely loved this book and found it captivating and fascinating! The Zen of Yuki opened up a new world for me - the ability of people to communicate so intimately with animals, and the reality that there are "healer" dogs. The first discovery that Yuki had the ability to heal another dog was remarkable, and I felt as if I was witnessing it through the author's vivid description. She saw him "sniff around her right hip and press his paw against her body holding her there as though an energetic healer of Ancient Chinese descent."
Seeing Yuki in action for the first time was almost humorous, until Bonnie and the reader discovered that a few days later Yuki's puppy friend Bella no longer needed hip surgery. The owner told her that the veterinarian had taken another X-ray of Bella's hip and saw that it had totally healed! I was amazed at what had miraculously occurred and I also marveled at the first encounter with an animal communicator who heard Yuki tell her that "he has a special purpose…" and that he was Bonnie's "Sweet and Precious Boy."
Mingled with my continual amazement of Yuki's ability to heal and communicate with people and with animals, was my utter enjoyment of the way the author describes everything! As always, Bonnie's charming, insightful writer's voice had me glued to the pages, hanging on every word, chuckling, reflecting with new awareness, or shaking my head with wonder.
I was particularly struck by Yuki's deep yearning for spiritual enlightenment, something he and Bonnie both shared. "His soul shone with love given to him by the One who put him here. His constant yearning to go back heightened my own yearning…" I was very moved when Yuki conveyed his deepest feelings to an animal communicator shortly before he passed. His tender, poignant words brought tears to my eyes. "Mom's writing a book about me…I really believe it would make others feel special by learning about me… I know Mom loves me every single day…I was born to love and be loved." Yuki's sweet, precious spirit will live on in Bonnie's heart, in the heart of the reader and everyone who knew him, and throughout eternity.
