Do note, the bottom panel of the box is made of some kind of plastic? It's sturdy enough for tea but if this is for something quite heavy you might need to reconsider. These items are very affordable so I'm not surprised it wasn't 100% bamboo as that would be too good to be true.

I ordered two of these and one arrived shrink wrapped and intact while the other arrived in pieces as shown. These are not very sturdy and the bottom is mdf - only the sides are bamboo. Not worth returning for the price so I did my best with wood glue, but would not buy again.
