Great Pad Great Price Great Build Deserves top marks

I have used a Belkin/Razer N52te for about 4 years and it has been an excellent piece of kit but it is getting a bit worn. So I thought I would either replace it with the new model or look for something different. The new models are all about £60 or more so i thought I would try this one. I have had it for a week so i'm still getting used to it which is fine. My first observation was how well made it is and it really is very well made, extremely solid, heavy and the keys feel like they will take some real abuse and there are over 40 keys as apposed to the 15 on the N52te. Although it doesn't had the thumb pad which is a shame as that was a useful addition on my old keypad especially for FPS games when you get helicopters to control etc. Its back lit and comes with a nice long usb cord, the pad also has volume controls and esc which is useful and an internet button not so useful. You can't alter the key setup at all so you will have to edit and assign in game which is fine, there are so many keys including 1-6 and F1 - F6 its very easy. I can also see it would be ideal for left or right handed players no problem, At under £30 it is excellent value and well worth trying out, don't worry about the Chinese instructions you don't need them or drivers essentially this is a mini cut down keyboard shaped for gaming. The only thing that caught me out was when you press Mode it changes WASD into directional keys, probably ok for helicopters in FPS etc etc, press mode again and it goes back to WASD simples! In short I would recommend this pad to anyone wanting a game pad, its a great price solid and the keys are quiet and very smooth and the whole thing feels robust. I'm going to try it with BF4 and I'm sure the extra buttons will come in very handy (excuse terrible pun). Packing was very good as well the Key pad was boxed, then wrapped then placed in Amazon box and would even withstand Parcel Force or Parcel Farce as we used to call it when i worked for them.

All round mini Keypad a must for FPS

Fantastic mini keypad with great quality keys. It was easy to set up you simply plug it into your computer and it works like a charm. The shape of the keypad fits well into the palm of the hand with all the keys reachable one handed.
It takes some time too get used to it, but it will become second nature and a must for any FPS games.
Another note the price is exstreamly good compared to a few other mini pads such as the razer.

Pros:
-Plug in and play
-Good quality
-Good size for all hand sizes
-Highlighted most important keys.

Cons:
-Takes some time to get used to the device

Other than this i am very happy with this product and highly recommended

awkward to use if your using for first time as the key layout is nothing like a standard keyboard. If your pressing M you need a flexible thumb.
key layout is as follows from top left to right
row 1 TAB QWERO
ROW 2 ASDF (sTANDARD
ROW 3 ZXCT
ROW 4 KNMB
ROW 5 SPACE H V MODE SPACE

i use this keyboard with a smaller standard keyboard beside it. Been using for a month daily now and slowly getting used to the layout. forcing myself not to press the buttons on standard keyboard. Great to see caps lock is not on the keayboard, however whoever thought moving the tab key next to the Q and shift key next to A needs a telling off. They could have been place in usual position without any design change. its heavy and stays put. Very comfy to use. no hand aches at all. The Zelesouris label is far to bright and drowns out the key lights

the mode button changes ASDW keys to arrow keys. Great for gaming. very happy with this item and with time it will be great advantage in gaming.

when i dont need to look where the keys are i be a legend. As i have short fingers the function and number keys are not much use to me. In world of warcraft a player could use these for spell casting but not moving at same time unless you do soem amazing finger gymnastics

Great gamepad for lefties

I have been using this for quite some time now and really like it. It's made gaming alot easier with my disability and being left handed, all keys are close to hand, don't have to waste time rebinding nearly every single key in the game.

Just a few cons.
1) As mentioned in other posts - the mode key. This is far to easy to accidentally touch, resulting in the keys not working as you would want them to. I feel the Mode key should be down on the side with the Esc, light, etc.

2) The numbers 1-6. Changing the size of the O and Tab keys would result in slightly more space for numbers, then reducing the size of 1 and 6 would allow at least 1 extra number, if not 2. My previous game pad had all the numbers across it, even tho they were a bit smaller in size but you didn't notice any problems with their size, but you do notice a problem with not all the numbers being there, resulting in quite a few games having to have some of their keys remapped.

3) The wrist arch. Personally I feel this could be a bit more arched, my hand still creates an unsupported claw shape above the keys.

However, for the money, its an incredibly good buy for a gamepad, especially for left handed players

Brought 2 of these for my kids as Xmas presents. Just tested them on my PC and work brilliantly. Great quality, seems nice and robust, good solid key press and return. All buttons work and they light up blue, choice of off, dim, or brighter. All writing on box and instructions are not in English, but you really don't need any. I just plugged the keypad into my USB port waited a few seconds for Windows to auto install drivers and there you go working fine. Works along side your own keyboard and mouse. Very happy with purchase and I think my kids will be very happy with their pads as they play a lot of games using the keys this pad has. It is very comfortable to rest your hand on while using also. My PC has Windows 7 if that helps anyone.
