An Eye-Opening Guide for Anyone Who’s Plugged In

Are we going to give up our cell phones, laptops, and other electronics? Absolutely not. But emerging scientific evidence reveals that the very innovations that have changed our lives are also exposing us to an unprecedented number of electromagnetic fields—and that it’s crucial we make important changes to our home and work environments. Now, Ann Louise Gittleman has created the first step-by-step manual for fortifying your body, detoxifying your home, and protecting yourself and your family from electronic pollution (and her powerful fixes are easier than you might think!). This book provides a reasonable introduction to the idea of reducing the amount of EMFs we are exposed to each day, and how to go about doing so without giving up your computer and your phone and so on. It gives you lots and lots of useful tips on how to reposition electrical items, the best types of items to buy and what to avoid as well as how to use simple devices to measure the radiation in your own home.

This book is well researched and referenced. The first 37 pages outline the theory and science really well and forms a sort of mini-book all in itself.

Many excellent health books briefly mention the potential problems that EMFs can cause and how to minimise them, but the most thorough book I have read on this topic by far is 'Earthing: The Most Important Health Discovery Ever?; This book talks about the problems of EMF exposure, provides some brief tips for how to minimise your exposure and then focuses on 'grounding' as the best way to minimise any problems caused by high levels of EMFs.

Zapped was the opposite. It gives lots and lots of tips about minimising your exposure, but only mentioned grounding for a page or two and didn't seem to give it even remotely the level of importance that the 'Earthing' book did. It didn't come across as at all essential or hugely helpful, which was just strange when the author of Zapped had read the book and should have known how well supported grounding is as a treatment for those with EMF sensitivities and others.

For that reason I'd very much recommend the 'Earthing' book before this one.

When I first heard about the concept of earthing or grounding I was very sceptical.

Buy this book for all your nearest and dearest this Christmas. It might just make a life-changing difference. Few of us are prepared to live without our emf producing gadgets and gizmos, but if you needed a reason to opt out, you will find plenty of good ones in this book. Ann Louise Gittleman asks - would you be prepared to put your head in a microwave? The answer is obviously 'no', but with so many young women carrying their mobiles in their wired bras these days, it seems we ARE prepared to have some other parts of our anatomy constantly fried. All is not lost however, because Ms Gittleman gives us many dodges and diversions, including some tasty recipies and supplements to offset the effects of emfs. There are also loads of resources and further information at the back, so you can make your own mind up. All in all, a really useful book full of facts and figures presented in an easy to read style - Ms Gittleman has clearly done her research.

I highly recommend this book - it has some great tips for protecting you and your families health to protect you against EMR.

Great recipes, tips and advice for creating a healthier and safer haven within your home and changing tech bad habits like not using your mobile as an alarm. We were doing just that!

Practical advice we should all be taking on board in our tech driven society.

This book is the best current introduction on how to live with electro-pollution. The science is referenced and almost always well explained.
I did not read the chapters on diets.

Excellent book very informative but the reality of what technology is doing to our health is scary. Any responsible parent who wants to care for children's health should read this and be aware of the downsides of too much exposure to technology. Really made me aware and has changed our mindset as a family. We live in a world of EMFs and if you already have chronic illness in the family like us I would not overlook the importance of reducing emf exposure. Already our reduction in usage after reading this book has helped us see improvements in our daughters illness. Great book! Eye opening..

Very well written. As a health products provider who is also on a mission to inform people of health issues that may affect them, well written books such as this, are great source of research and can be quickly absorbed by their use of straightforward language and other important information which is uncluttered by jargon and technical mumbo-jumbo. Excellent!
