I wouldn't know if the closing eyes doll is any good as I also received the one with fixed eyes! I have emailed the seller to see if they actually stock the closing eyes version...

Update: the seller only stocks the fixed eyes version. I would recommend the Dolls World Little Treasure as an alternative.

My little daughter is absolutely happy with her "baby". The doll is a good-looking type of face, nice to look at. The eyes close and look like thay are not going to break very easy. I hear occasionally my toddler digging in, but nothing happens.
I do have some remarks though. 1) The photo of the product is merely edited. The complexion is darker, and there is no blush on cheeks as the photo otherwise suggests. 2) Further, the doll cannot sit unaided, unlike other soft-bodied dolls.
Nevertheless, highly recommended, because -- like in real life :-) -- it's hard to find one that has a pretty face.

I bought this as a first doll for my daughter for her 2nd birthday. She loves it. Now that she's approaching her 3rd birthday, I thought I would buy her some clothes for the doll, to keep the play interesting. Then I discovered how rediculously expensive all the clothes and accessories are. Even the 2nd hand stuff on ebay sells for almost as much as I pay for my daughter's clothes! Insane. If I'd done the research properly at first, I would not have bought this doll.

I bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter and she likes it.

It's just the right size for a little one and has opening eyey and clothes which come off.

It's a good size for my older granddaughter because it's not too heavy ( unlike her Annabel doll ) so we can take her out to the shops and the park.

I would recommenit for 2+ year olds and above.

A good size for a small child to carry, this soft-bodied doll seems to withstand fairly cavalier treatment from my granddaughter (two and a half) who loves it and for some reason has renamed it Candee. Her only complaint is that it has no tummy button!

It does appear a bit cheapy but it is loght weight amd therefore perfect for my 14 month old to carry around. Its already losing some puff though, making the arms and legs VERY floppy. I did like the fact that the hat was firmly attatched to. A ies outfit so it doesnt get lost

Eyes closing are a bonus, however, can be confusing because of the Annabell doll which is bigger and consequently caused me to buy clothes that were too large for 'my first baby Annabell'. Not good at Christmas.
