Fast, Easy and Free – ASRock OMG technology allows you to establish an internet curfew or restrict internet access at specified times. Administrators are able to schedule the starting and ending hours of internet access granted to other users. Normally, ISPs (Internet Service Provider) will charge for internet curfew service. The service controls “all” the PCs connected at home through network remotely but all the PCs in that network will be restricted to access the internet at pre-setup times. However, ASRock OMG is a free tool for controlling internet access of each single PC. Parents can easily control internet access through BIOS setup to protect their kids from using Internet at inappropriate time, and meanwhile, enjoy their own internet space.
Intel® Smart Connect Technology keeps content always up-to-date! It means that your email, favorite apps, and social networks are continually and automatically updated even when the system is asleep. Smart Connect will periodically wake up the PC while in a sleep state and check updates for things like email, Twitter, Facebook, etc. No more waiting for the latest world news or friends’ updates to be delivered—just enable this function and you’re up-to-date and ready to go.
ASRock motherboard support Lucid Virtu Universal MVP technology that improves your PC’s visuals, with faster response times, improved video processing and smoother media playback, all with low power consumption. Brilliantly designed for gaming, Virtu Universal MVP™ switchable graphics software assigns tasks dynamically to the best graphics resource and features two exciting techniques – HyperFormance™ and Virtual Vsync™.

What don't I like which is why it didn't get 5 stars. The board is a little thin if you compare it to a gigabyte board as they are quite substantial, but its not a huge issue but perhaps if you were using one of the huge CPU Air coolers such as some of the Noctua range it could be a weight issue but then I guess Arock have tested it out. I use a thermaltake 120M range with dual 120 fans its very efficient but quite a bit smaller than some of the Noctua range. The most annoying thing about the board and this would only effect anyone who Crossfired or ran an SLI system is the position of the extra power input when you are running 2 cards its just to the left of the CPU socket rather than on the edge of the board like it is with Gigabyte and its Molex rather than Sata power which is really annoying. wherever you route it it leaves you trailing a wire across the board even if you route it through the back as its almost in the middle of the board. Which means you have to be careful not to restrict air flow or more importantly not to foul up the CPU fans. Other than that I would highly recommend the board. As in all other respects its a really good board and works extremely well even updating bios is very simple in fact I would of given it 4.5 stars if I could have. The thickness may well not have any bearing at all and the Crossfire power issue doesn't prevent it from working or reduce its performance its just in a very silly place and should be Sata and most people will never use 2 cards together anyway although that isn't the point.Mind you if you can I run 2 MSI 7870 in crossfire they are brilliant and very fast and a lot more reliable than some of the reviews I've read.
Update 20/07/2014 The board is still running great and I use it a lot running intensive games, photo editing. I really cant fault its performance and its easy to overclock if you want. The sound is very good and in all respects so far a very reliable board with ample Sata drive connections. I have 1 SSD, 4 HDD + a DVD writer and they all work brilliantly. The extra USB ports are also very useful and can double up as an SSD bay as well which I didnt realise initially and bought a bay for my SSD.
Update: 20/08/15 Still running great now with 16 Gig and a single MSI 970 GTX GPU and CPU water cooling system. I have also upgraded to Windows 10 and no problems whatsoever with drivers etc etc, very impressed.
Update: 25/10/2016 after nearly 3 years the board started to have significant problems booting from power up too re-starting. After trying to resolve it and advice from ASRock it still wouldn't work. Although well out of warranty they offered to replace it with a brand new identical board if I paid for postage to return my board and for them to post a new one back total cost £25 and took approx 7 days to send to the Netherlands and get the new board back. You can't buy these boards now and are really difficult and expensive to get second hand. The service was excellent and I was quite frankly amazed they replaced the board so 10/10 for ASRock I wouldn't hesitate to buy another board from them. The new board is running brilliantly and has extended the life of my computer significantly and the extreme 6 models are great boards.
After I got first, I asked for replacement which did looked even worse.
It's very strange that there nobody else has came up with this short-come of this motherboard.
First I thought to get refund but then I decided to CLEAN it! yeah it was a challenge for first time. All you need is IPA(isopropyl alcohol 99%), toothbrush (yeah you got it right) and coffee filters or smth that doesn't leave fluffy things behind.
Procedure is simple dip toothbrush into IPA then rub the dirt(flux) on the motherboard, then I placed a coffee filter over the same area and rubbed it with the toothbrush to dry area and clean flux from toothbrush, then repeat until you get shiny effect on the mobo! I made mine like a mirror, and seriously there was more dirt that I expected, the whole back was covered with a smoke screen like.
ADVICE - BUY IF YOU ARE PREPARED TO CLEAN IT
Was useful as I don't play a lot of demanding games, just games like League of Legends - but the motherboard's graphics card was good enough to play it at medium settings.
TLDR: Awesome graphics card - though I believe it has a weird setup with connecting up your parts.
This board offers plenty of slots for upgrades or multiple GFX Cards, and has a nice amount of SATA ports for larger builds with regards storage and HDD's.
I've combined this with a 2nd Gen i5 processor and Corsair 120mm Hydro Series H80i water cooling set up and it runs nicely.
Looks nice too. :)
But - despite having something that looks like an mSATA socket (whcih is generally available on Z77 boards) it doesnt support mSATA. It's a shame because it's a fitting an mSATA SSD to the board is cheap way of getting SSD boot times without the hassle and price of fitting a SSD drive.
Not literally mind you! - It does come with some nifty tools to speed things up and I can safely say they work like charm. At the moment I have nothing bad to say and I've had it almost a year so that's an excellent thing.
I'm not going into detail on what this board has got because that's what the specification is for but what I will say is that this board delivers and is well worth the buy!
