Product description

Review

This is undoubtedly the most accessible 'A-Z' of the spiritual world I have read. Once I picked it up I couldn't stop reading - how many dictionaries can you say that about?! Everything's in there from biogs on top psychics Derek Acorah and Gordon Smith through to the definition of Thaumaturgy (a human miracle) and an explanation of Purgatory. Excellent stuff! --Sue Ricketts, Take A Break's Fate & Fortune (Editor

An insightful directory of terms, significant people and phenomena in the spiritual and religious field. If you don t know your akashic records from your etheric senses , then this is the book for you. --Katy Evans, Soul & Spirit Magazine (Editor)

Having the privilege of an early reading of Philip Solomon's book 'The A-Z Spiritualism' and being a student of the Morris Pratt Institute for Mediumship Certification I found this handy volume to be a great tool for the understanding of terms and concepts of Spiritualism and related topics. As an author on subjects related to Spiritualism and Mediumship I found his no-nonsense approach refreshing; straight forward, it includes references to some of the true heroes of Spiritualism; those who embraced the concept of Spirit Communication at great personal risk, even suffering ridicule such as Arthur Conan Doyle. Solomon has done some fine research; including his references to Abraham Lincoln; the President's interest in Spiritualism affecting his political decisions, something I know of first hand from my great grandmother Elizabeth Foster who sat in seance with him at the White House. There is a wonderful list of churches not limited to the United Kingdom; including listings throughout the United States as well as Canada. This simple book is primer to Spiritualism and will prove a handy reference for those drawn to the uniqueness of the religion whether as a practicing Spiritualist or a student of the concept. I highly recommend this wonderful handbook; certain to become part of the Morris Pratt 'suggested reading list. --Dr. Deborah Richmond Foulkes, Spiritual Medium and Reiki Master

This book provides much needed information for those who want to find out more about Spiritualism. Even for those who already know the basics, there is a lot of additional descriptions that I have never really understood and I found the information Philip has given very enlightening. A useful book to keep for reference on your shelf. --Jill Prior

At last, an easy to use guide on the language of Spiritualism and Psychic Jargon. Well done Philip! --Jane Howard, International Medium
