This book is an absolute delight, both for the information included but also in it's presentation.

A spiral-bound, hard back which has an added protective seal to help keep the outside clean, there are so many stitch variations included, enabling you to create a unique and perfectly smocked garment.

With illustrations abounding and full colour photography throughout, this is a book to treasure.

It gives clear instructions, with an accompanying photograph. Also included are photos of completed projects from various Australian Smocking and Embroidery magazines - each issue number marked so you know where to go if you want to try that particular item.
It has been over 30 years since I last did smocking and this book is proving to be an invaluable tool.
The only drawback I have found is that although the inside has been spiral bound, the outer cover is not and can be a distraction when trying to sew in a small area and still follow instructions. I think that if the whole had been spiral bound then you could actually turn the cover over on itself and just have one page to view and not two as now.

This is a very good, easy to follow book if you are a beginner and would probably provide inspiration for smocking patterns for more advanced smockers. Smocking can be addictive..

I am delighted with this purchase - I want to learn to do smockng and I know it will be very useful. I am particarly pleased that it is ring bound and will be easy to use open completely without damaging the spine of the book. I was also pleased with the delivery being on time as stated. Thank you Amazon.
