Having recently moved to London from New York, I've found this little guy to be invaluable. The maps are fantastic and encourage wandering -- you're more confident to go off the beaten path when you know how to get back on. We've given several copies as Christmas presents to family members planning to visit, accomplishing two goals: 1) they'll learn more about the geographic complexity of London than from a regular guidebook and 2) we won't worry about sending them off on their own.

what can I fits in your back pocket, it contains a map and index of all roads in Central London - as with Ronseal, 'it does exactly what it says on the tin'

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent pocket atlas 28 May 2007
By Joseph Boone - Published on
First of all, the best way to buy this atlas is to use the UK web site as they currently do not sell it via the US version. On a recent trip to London, I used this every single day and found it invaluable navigating both the streets and the underground. It is small enough to easily fit into a hip or shirt pocket and light enough that you won't even notice it is there. Underground stations are clearly marked on each page and there is a separate underground map as well (though you almost need a magnifying glass due to the small size of the page).

In summary, this is an ideal and convenient tool for easy navigation while visiting London. It's complete, small, and light weight.
