Made for Beginners
It only requires a few seconds to learn
how to fly the Breeze. Arrow up - Breeze flies high, Arrow Down - Breeze flies down, etc. The Breeze selfstabilises in wind gusts ensuring smooth footage, and flies automatically both indoors and outdoors, thanks to the auto-launch and auto-landing, you do not have to worry about the most difficult flight phases. The Breeze is a truly faithful companion who will always return safely to you and land in front of you at the touch of a button or in the event of a loss of the transmission signal.
Made for Movie Makers
Get the grand Hollywood feel with automatic flight modes, which include the Follow Me mode, where you or any moving object can be highlighted on the screen and the Breeze will accurately follow. Orbit mode instructs the Breeze to fly a circular radius around you with you as the star of the show. Set the desired angle and distance in Journey mode and watch the Breeze slowly fly backwards away from you, and then fly towards you while capturing the classic reveal angle, great for opening or
closing a scene.

First up, let’s be realistic, this is a CHEAP piece of kit. You buy cheap, you get cheap. I also own a DJI Phantom 3, and I bought this as a cheap, small, portable toy. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I found the Breeze easy to setup, and the firmware update worked for me etc (for the record, I found it easier and less frustrating than the DJI ones — a DJI update rendered my other drone completely useless, so don’t be fooled into thinking this is just a problem with Yuneec, it’s really really not!).
My first flight with the Breeze brought a smile to my face... the app works great... the calibration was simple... the features are superb, and software-wise everything was spot-on.
But that’s where the praise starts and stops. The second time I took it out the box to fly it, it took 15 mins to bind, worked OK, and the. lost connection (rather worryingly) mid-flight. Luckily it just stopped and hovered, and I was able to rebind it, but it was pretty scary. I rebooted it, and then it took 30mins to rebind. It flew ok, then had a total meltdown and randomly shot off into a bush. Thankfully in the opposite direction to me and the kids.
Did a rebind (20 minus of trying). Nothing broken or damaged. But again, felt really dubious. Later that day, more rebindIng issues, and another massive freak out and shot off into a tree on its own.
I’m actually really surprised there Yuneec haven’t been sued for a major injury yet. With bugs like this, it’s an accident waiting to happen.
So the moral is — buy cheap and you get dodgy, but at what cost?
OK the nitty gritty. Yes I did have connectivity problems but solved by using an appropriate device. Your controller must be capable of connecting to the 5GHz signal that is produced by the Breeze. My Moto G4 plus had no difficulty. However, while the phone picked up the signal it was reluctant to connect. A little research provided the answers.
1.Switch your mobile data OFF! The Breeze signal obviously does not connect to the internet so your device will be reluctant to connect if mobile data is in operation.
2. Turn off your phone, switch on the Breeze and then your phone. If data is off you should get an immediate successful connection.
I tried this numerous times, with success on every occasion before I plucked up enough courage to let my Breeze fly free!
Good weather (calm but freezing!) tempted me out today. Connected no trouble. Found GPS no trouble. Time to let it fly! What can I say, the drone is incredibly stable in flight and despite not having a clue about what I was doing I managed to grab some great HD footage on my local beach!
I am now very happy that I took the chance on this little beauty. Only the lack of documentation, and initial stress, keep me from giving the full 5 stars.
Go on, give it a chance. Use the right connection device and connection procedure and you will not regret it.
Just a little more, have had further opportunities to get the Breeze up in the air, still no problems with connection. Working like a dream.

Upon first testing and set up it seemed ok, though took a long time after initial set up and firmware update to connect and took multiple resets and turning wi-fi on/off on my phone. The video quality was good and clear at the digitally stabilised 1080p and very easy to fly.
I wanted to take it into a wide open space to complete the tutorial lessons. Unfortunately, during the first pilot lesson the unit lost connection and then just flew off and did its own thing. It went off and crashed into some tree's! Thankfully Amazon's service was exceptional and arranged a return and replacement the next day.
Unfortunately the replacement did exactly the same thing on its first outing. Luckily this time it just landed in the field.
Have arranged refund and collection of this and will not get another one.
Save your money and buy something that is stable….I may put more money in and go DJI now.
So the not so good points, and from experience I would not have gone for this drone had I know more about it previously, it is unreliable re connection and the wifi will drop out approximately once every time you are using it, so if you want 8 minutes of full usage you will have to accept just 5 minutes as it will go off wifi and start to ascend to scary heights whilst you sweat about looking for it to reconnect again. The footage is ok, passable if using for social media (which is what I wanted it for), but not great up on a larger 32 inch TV etc.
Past comments I agree with = Yuneec and not really contactable and certainly not via social media.
Certainly average, just about worth the money, but as I have seen from a few other reviews, you are better to opt for one of the Spark / Phantom's etc as these are more reliable and suitable for professional usage.
