About the Author
Felicity Bertin is an osteopath, a breastfeeding peer support volunteer and a lecturer in Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal Medicine, Embryology and Developmental Biology at the British School of Osteopathy - as well as being mum to two-year-old Lucas. Emma Ogden-Hooper studied English language and linguistics at university and enjoyed a successful career in professional recruitment before becoming a full-time mum to her two year old son, Ethan. Whether it be baking birthday cakes for children, hosting dinner parties for friends, or creating dishes for her family, Emma always takes delight in cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

This symbol next to it. The same applies for the left overs symbol. The tuna pasta bake recipe misses out milk from the ingredients which is vital for making the sauce so without knowing how much you need it could go very wrong! The vegetarian moussaka fails to tell you what temperature to heat the oven to. I'm just wondering how many more errors I'm going to find as we've only had the book for a week! I'm very pleased with the recipes but when I've paid money for something I don't expect it to be full of mistakes!
Also a big plus point for me is that the book also provides lots of ideas on snacks and meal planning - it's helped me get more organised and provide a healthy, balanced diet for my little ones (and myself and my husband).
Now we are out of the early days of weaning it's a book that I still turn to daily for recipes - there are so many in there, that I still have tons to try! Excellent value for money.

I used various finger food and weaning books for my daughter, including Annabel Karmel, and was constantly frustrated at having to adapt the recipes to remove the sugar or salt etc. Plus loads of the recipes required frying, which just ended up with burnt, greasy food that my daughter refused to eat.
This book is brilliant, because it has heaps of really interesting recipes which taste great without any salt and sugar in the recipe, and lots of easy hob or oven cooking.
The recipes are healthy, wholesome, easy and taste great. Plus there's loads of quick, handy, helpful tips and adult add-ons.
You can't go wrong if you buy this. Wish it had been around when i was weaning my daughter. Have already bought a second copy as a present for my sister-in-law.
The only "baby led" aspect of this is telling baby to eat food like stir fry and pasta with their hands. No new and creative finger food ideas, would be wasted on a university student leaving home for the first time quite frankly.
Would be amazed if anyone had reached parenthood without the basic skills to make the kind of rubbish in here.
The recipes are cheap to make and easy to understand. I wasn't a confident cook at all before I started using this book, but now feel like a Nigella!
I cook all our family meals out of this book and can see myself continuing to do so for the foreseeable future. They taste so good and it's nice to know that my daughter is eating fresh, homemade meals.
This is the only cooking book a household needs, even if they don't have little ones!
