Fascinating Reading About Teenage Life in a Very Different Culture

Japanese magna and light novels are written mainly for teenagers and young adults, and for that reason few get into existential struggles for meaning and identity. In this story, however, we have a collection of misfits who are struggling against great odds to grow up well, and in they process we get a lot of internal monologues that remind me of my own teenage years. There is a great deal of subtlity in this internal material, and even more in the interactions between the characters. For that reason, and because in this story you are looking into a culture whose members routinely leave a great deal unsaid, you need to read carefully and think about what you read. Anyone who does will be richly rewarded.
Misprinted volume with 31 replicated pages (missing the original contents!)

make no mistake, i love this series and what i've read of this volume. The copy I received, however, was horribly misprinted -- pages 59-90 were replicated for some reason, so it's completely missing the 31 pages between 91-122. How the heck could this happen?
