For any one who hasn't heard this tune in full, give it a listen. I absolutely love this track and it's my favourite song of the year by far. I have listened to this track for two days solid on repeat mode going to and from work and believe me, I'm still hooked. Definitely a top three rated song in the Manic Street's catalog. You've got twanging guitars, a great melody and coarse vocals with wonderful work done in the production studio makes this (for me) a marvelous rock song. In summary 'PLAY IT LOUD' it's the only way to appreciate it.

This is a very very good tune released by the Manic Street Preachers! Its very good to listen to and it never gets boring! Sounds even better when it is played loud! Great tune and good lyrics used!

This is great and it really is back to what the Manics do best, i.e. an epic anthemic tune. This really is charming life affirming stuff that has a spring/summer feel about it and features Nina Persson off The Cardigans. James and Nina really complement each other and are both on top of their game here. It really is one of those records where you can just imagine blaring it out on the car radio on the open road, or being on top of a mountain. The irony of course, is that the Manics and Nina's band tend to write really suicidal lyrics disguised in big anthemic songs. The other track 'Boxes & Lists' is very good too.

Musically speaking, the tone of Your Love Alone is like the Manics' answer to R.E.M.'s Shiny Happy People. Insanely infectious pop that may just be too damn good at what it does for some of their more self-conscious listeners. They sound reinvigorated again and like they have a true purpose. Brilliant stuff.

The same can't be said for the three b-sides. To be frank, they all sound like James Dean Bradfield on autopilot. And in view of the recent solo offerings, it might be an idea to let Nicky Wire take charge of the music when it comes to b-sides. Or allow Sean Moore to indulge himself with some new rave. All three tracks have their moments, but they just sound a little undercooked, nothing to threaten the album tracks.

CD2 also comes with the video for the single. It's not the most inventive video ever, but it has the lovely Nina in it so by default it's absolutely wonderful.
