Hoping for some practical advice on my first Atlantic Crossing: insurance, clothing, inventory and cooking, for example ... but what I got is a kind of Bill Bryson blog. Entertaining in its own right but the title should be 'My First Atantic Crossing'

This book contains a wealth of information and advice for the experienced and the novice blue water sailor. It is well-produced and written in an approachable style with wit and, occasionally, tongue firmly in cheek. I rate this book as a must-have bunkside companion and a good entertaining read for the armchair sailor.
