This book covers all of the problems I was having.
First off, I couldn’t be 100% he wasn’t waking from genuine hunger (as he was such a large baby - over 15lbs) so I took the advice in the book to re introduce a late split feed to ensure he wasn’t hungry.
I then used to the information in the book to ensure he was feeding milk and solids at the right times during the day. Again ensuring hunger wasn’t a cause of his waking.
Then I moved onto getting rid of the dummy, blankie and white noise- I used the book to guide me and within 3 days my baby was settling and sleeping by himself. This then meant he started sleeping between 11pm and 7am.
Since then, I have turned to this book several times to help with EMW, fussy feeding, bedtime or nap refusal. This book covers every problem you may come across, and offers clear and easy advice on how to fix problems.
I would highly recommend this book to guide you in the right direction when things don’t always go to plan, whether that be for you first baby, or in my case 3rd baby.
Once the lunch time naps were sorted I had to tackle her early morning wakings. I tried everything from feeding, cuddles, leaving her to re settle but nothing seemed to work.
I came across this book, it gives great advice on lunch time naps and early morning wakings.
My first born was a textbook Gina baby, she slept and feed at all the right times. I'm not going to say it was easy, in fact it was hard work but those 3 hard months meant she was sleeping 7-7 from 12 weeks and has done ever since. So when my second came along, I thought it was be easy...!!!! It was in fact harder and the dreaded early morning waking set in at 5 months. It wasn't going to beat me. I purchased this book and worked at all the suggestions and now at 11 months she is sleeping the magical 7-7.
I know the Gina Ford method isn't for everyone but I have to say this book is fantastic for all of those little mishaps that happen along the way.
