One of MSI's angrier albums. Focuses more on darker themes as opposed to just foul language this time. The track list is a combination of weaker songs, carried by several stronger ones, to the point where the album is best appreciated by individual tracks as opposed to a complete concept.

It doesn't take me many words to sum up how I feel about this album.

Considering how unapproachable some of the early MSI material was, this is by far the most approachable CD. Although some of the veteran fans found this to be too commercialised, I still couldn't agree. It's certainly easier to sell to a commericial audience than early works, but I do not feel that this has been done to the detriment of the quality of their work.

Alas, we still have the wild screeches of Urine, the rapid and altering melodies and rhythms, which make it a CD you may struggle to just sit down and listen to. It's more approachable too in the fact it probably takes itself more seriously as an album than albums such as Tighter.

If you are looking for an entry into the world of MSI, then look no further. This is the one for you.

Ok so I bought this album a week ago... I bought 3 other CDs when i bought this album... I have listened to the other three about twie each, but this album has somehow managed to get played at least twice every day!
For people who don't know what genera MSI are in... Well... Welcome to the land of everyone else.... the guys are compeltely indiscribable.
The best tracks being (if I could only pick 3 of them) Stupid MF, Shut Me Up and 1989. But then the rest of the tracks are all equally fantastic.
This album is probably one of the catchiest and interesting albums that I own and well... that's all I feel has to be said about it.
Don't just sit here reading this... Go and buy the freaking CD!

tl;dr = good album with occasional bad tracks, not great lyrics but good tunes.

I saw the video for 'shut me up' on kerrang and thought 'i need this album'.
On purchasing there are some good and some bad points to this album. And shut me up is the standout track. However, prom is also epic and the cover of tom sawyer (for those who i know the original form ye ole days... or rock band wii) is pretty fun.
The extra tracks aren't too special but they add to the overall sound.
Lyrically, this may not be the most inspiring band ('2hookers and an 8ball... can u believe that i write this' being the chorus of one song) but if you like the single you'll like the album and it definately grows on you.

I thought punk had died until I stumbled onto this band by mistake. After lsitening to just a couple of tracks, I won't lie... I got excited. The fast paced energy, the enthusiasm, the punk feel, it is awesome. If I was to only buy one album this year, the sheer variety of musical styles (sometimes even within the same track) would suggest that Mindless Self Indulgence it would be. It is amazing how one band can sound so different, yet so similar in each of its tracks. Definately worth a purchase, you will not be disappointed. I just scratch my head as to why they are not bigger?

I am totally obsessed with these guys right now!
Its rock but you can dance to it, with a load of cursing & nasty, vulgar lyrics that give MSI a crude edge.
My favourite track has to be Stupid MF, when I first heard the song I presumed the lyrics were being sung in a different language! Shut Me Up & Straight To Video are great also.
A must for rockers who want something heavy & fun.
