Brian Lighthouse (Dave Annable) photographs pets in clothes for a living. His new assistant Tonya (Mena Suvari) is sexy, playful and is in love with Brian who for some reason avoids her advances. Through some poorly scripted circumstances Brian finds himself in a position where he must marry Masha (Katharine McPhee) the daughter of a crime boss (Ken Davitian) in order for her to obtain her green card. After a year, the marriage will be annulled and she will then marry the overly jealous Vinnie Jones. Dad and Vinnie forbid consummating the relationship, even as they honeymoon in Tahiti.

Brian's under utilized mom (Kathy Bates) offers little in the way of helpful advice as she is a stay at home mom. The poorly conceived plot drags along and then at about 45 minutes into the film, we get the twist and the movie becomes a watchable comedy, formula and all. This will work as a date night film and perhaps a teen family night. Mena "Kitten" Suvari steals all the scenes. Her part was written better than Katharine McPhee.

Parental Guide: No f-bombs, sex, or nudity. Some sexual double entendre.

Ok so you can see the ending coming a mile off but quite how it gets there was unexpected. This however is due to the utterly haphazard and random way the story lurches around rather than any clever writing. Its watchable enough though.

Patchy with horrible over acting by the person playing the pilot. The rest do a decent job, best being Cathy Bates by far. Some decent ideas and some beautiful scenery. Decent enough if you love chick flicks with a cute leading man and want a little bit of escapism. Don't bother if you like your films with any realism. IMHO more on screen chemistry than the recent BBC offering of Lady Chatterley and Mellors.

beautiful cinematography. easy to watch. relaxing. good looking people. romantic. sweet. the main characters are straight-forward and honest rather than tricky and smart with each other, which makes them very likeable. (lots of shooting but only 2 people presumed dead.) it was a very comfortable film to watch. I'm not saying it will change your life or that you'll learn anything, but it is one of those movies that is like a mini-vacation .

Rather silly but very watchable rom com with a mixed bunch in the cast. Vinnie Jons always plays the same character. Katherine McPhee is noi leading lady but Dave anable is rather fun. Nice to see Suvari in a comic role.

Three and a half stars - I lean towards four becasue it was enjoyable and fun.
The main character is coerced into amrrying the daughter of a mobster only to find true love blossoming through their action adventure.
I was suprised by the number of action sequences, cheesy lines but enjoyable story. You'll either like it (probably not love) or loathe it.

I give it four becasue there is little to no swearing. Some blatant sexual innuendo but no nudity. No drug use but some gun fire. There is one scene with creative use of adhesive for laminate floors but it is very comical and possibly ruins the film - I found it funny though!

The strangest thing for me was that the groom does actually kiss the bride at the reception - kinda made the title of the film irrelevant.

The acting is terrible, the characters are undeveloped and the plot is predicable. don't watch this. ten minutes in and I was asleep, so 1 star for the excellent lullaby.
