Style: No.11 Smash Kirby Verified Purchase
I was very sceptical at first with these figures, as some of them (Such as Peach and Link) didn't look at great as a finished product. Kirby however is just fantastic. It's a perfect weight, the detail in its eyes are perfect, and all in all I think it was worth my money. Shame it's sold out now

Style: No.29 Smash Meta Knight
Meta Knight looks great, but the fact you have scalpers on here who buy up every last bit of stock at RRP and sell it back to genuine Nintendo fans at 4 to 5 times the price is ridiculous! Quite sad and pathetic considering most of the customers being robbed are possibly children who save up for a long time.

Style: No.08 Smash Fit Trainer
Likely being the least desired, Wii Fit trainer is flying the flag.....or she would be if it wasn't for one, little niggle...her 'cast' support.

Firstly, due to the simple colour schemes this amiibo looks very clean and crisp with a very good finish. The logo on her chest is clear too. The only issue I had was that her right leg is half in a support cast which looks like a pot for a broken leg (ironic the health nut is in a cast). Its only a small niggle, at least the support is a clear plastic, and otherwise this amiibo is very good.

Be sure to get this whilst you can as it may become hard to find before long!

Style: No.22 Smash Toon Link Verified Purchase
Exactly what you expect and get. Very happy with the item, except it breaks easily if you drop it due to it being so fragile. I've had the figure break off from the stand via the pole it is supported by. I've managed to repair it a few times with great success but it does break easily as proven a few times now, although to be fair, I was more careless with it in the past than I am now, live and learn.

The detail on the figure is lovely, adore it a lot and the stand functions as intended with my games. The Spinner unlock in Hyrule Warriors is the very tasty icing on the cake to buying this or the other Link Amiibo.

Style: No.47 Smash Duck Hunt Duo
And yet another wave of Amiibo appears so Nintendo can prise our wallets open once more. They got 45 Euro out of mine prematurely seeing my local independent game store got all six in nigh on a week early. In the ideal and non common sense world I'd have bought all six but life is far from ideal and common sense is a necessity so I went with the best three for this week.

Any oldies like me, and even many not quite as old, will remember Duck Hunt with that red light gun on the NES many many moons ago so you'll know where this delightful duo hail from. This Amiibo is definitely one for the nippers and the ladies, the mrs was immediately enchanted as she purred "awwww how cute are they" hohum. I am not going to pretend I'm not impressed because I am, the detail is superb and Ninty have done the right thing by having the duck on a clear stilt rather than say the ghastly yellow one they use with Link. The attached pics will show you exactly how appealing this figure is, hmmmm perhaps that should be the plural figures, but you get my drift.

It's safe to say these two little charmers will make for this being many people's choice as their favourite Amiibo and I accept it's easy to understand why. I'd not go that far personally and seeing we're up to around 70 figures now with the Smash, Super Mario, Splatoon and yarn Yoshi collections I'm not even sure I have Duck Hunt Duo in my top ten but that said this Amiibo is still well worth the five stars.

Style: No.07 amiibo Smash Samus
Amiibo could well be one of Nintendo's most important money spinners. Make no mistake - although the concept of interactive objects has already been well explored on other platforms, Nintendo has a trump card of almost unrivalled intellectual property. This works has the advantage of not only producing collectible display models, but providing enhancements to likeable characters.

I purchased Samus as I feel it's unlikely that she will be released in another pose/edition for some time, or at least until a new Metroid title appears for Wii U. Also, many of the more popular characters such as Mario, Luigi and Yoshi will almost certainly have new poses and appearances for other franchises in the future, so I would rather bide time.

The amiibo is presented well in a plastic enclosure, which can be opened by ripping off the card backing. The figurine just sits inside securely, and is not tied or held into placed.

My initial impression was one of disappointment; the figurine appears smaller than promotional images and videos suggest. It doesn't take long to warm to scale however, and upon closer inspection you can actually see impressive detail in the mould and painting. There is no carelessness in the finish, nor any mistakes or spillage in the paint.

The plastic is actually quite soft, but this has the added benefit of impact resistance. It provides peace of mind in case you're afraid of dropping or knocking the amiibo accidentally. The base is made from a tougher plastic, which features a gold Super Smash Bros emblem on the top.

Before using the amiibo in-game, you can choose to 'register' it within the Wii U settings menu. Here you place the figurine onto the Game Pad when prompted, and in a couple of seconds the connection is made.
