If you've been introduced to Duncan's 'Only in' Guides, you will familiar with his warm, informative and yet playful use of words to describe his travels around particular cities in Europe. In this book, he comes home. It's a personal book written with a love for the scenery, culture and people who he grew up with. The photographs taken by Trevor croucher are really nice and varied and the book is in full colour.
The images definitely paint this beautiful English county in a wonderful light, from green and glorious vista's to ruins to seaside tavern's, the county seems to have something for everyone, and any age. It's a perfect size guide for the coffee table, and one I'm sure will be picked up by all those who stop by for a cup of whatever hot brew you are serving.
After reading this book, I immediately wanted to make plans for a future trip to discover this wonderful part of the world more closely for myself. I've always found people from Yorkshire open, honest and welcoming, this book is a fine celebration and love letter to ones from this green and pleasant corner of England.
