I bought this based on the previous review and so was ready for the various creaks. I kept the tools that came with it close by for the first few days and, sure enough, the creaks started. They emanated from the arm joints at the bottom and at either end of the cross bar. I just lightly oiled them and tightened them to within an inch of their lives and it is now spot on. I've been creak free for 2 days now!! It is definitely worth the price.
The sensor output is accurate so you can rely on pulse and calorific values. There are 32 levels of resistance; from 1 which is practically nothing to 32 which is nicely challenging. The cyclic arc is good - I'm 6'6" so it was important for me. It has absolutely no problems handling my weight at 14'7. As the previous guy mentioned it is reassuringly weighty.
Definitely recommended.

It is reassuringly heavy that it feels very sturdy even for someone of a heavier build. I'm a little disappointed by the number of squeaks and creaks in use and also.find that the changes in resistance on certain programs can be quite abrupt and more than once they almost made me stumble or lose balance.
Just for information I started using this as someone who is 19 stone, lives a quite inactive lifestyle and am using the cross trainer to help recover from an accident.
I have no doubt it's helping me and the minor niggles ate just that, minor.
