Cardio Vascular fitness:
Cardio vascular exercise is any type of exercise that increases the work of the lungs and the heart, and is the number one way to improve your general health, burn body fat and increase your fitness levels.
Utilising the large muscle groups in the lower body, the exercise bike is an effective machine for a total body workout. Not only is it incredibly effective for increasing cardio fitness, but it's also easy on the knees and joints.
To get the most from your workout on your bike you first need to identify what you want to achieve:
Are you working out to improve your health or to lose weight?
Understanding a little about intensity levels will ensure that the time invested in your exercise sessions returns the greatest benefits, rather than a hit and miss approach.
Cardio for good health:
To stay healthy, adults aged 19 - 64 should aim to do at least 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes, of moderate-intensity aerobic activity every week. Your heart rate should be raised and your breathing will be quicker but you should still be able to hold a conversation.
This level of exercise is for those wishing to improve quality of life and general well-being. Gentle 'good health' cardio training will increase your fitness level to a degree, helping you get through day-to-day tasks more easily and with more energy.
Cardio for weight loss:
To see a significant reduction in body fat, your sessions must be a little more intense. It's recommended that adults aged 19 - 64 should aim to do at least 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity every week. If you are working out at this level, you will be breathing hard and fast, your heart rate will be high and it will be difficult to talk.
This level of fitness is ideal for those wishing to lose weight and significantly improve their fitness levels.

As somebody who is starting exercising from scratch I find it really comfortable, with its wide, well-padded seat, the console easy to set up and understand and am relishing the challenge I set myself every week. It's a silent, smooth, ride and leads me to believe that I can do a 'proper' bike ride within a very short time. Thoroughly recommend.
Inexpensive for an exercise bike
Reliable brand (York)
Good quality materials
Included heart rate monitor
No power required (Only batteries)
The whole bike wobbles as you cycle
Heart rate monitor inaccurate
Feels like incomplete rotation (Unlike a quality bike in a gym, the rotation doesn’t continue for a few seconds after you stop and for that reason it feels like you need more power exertion)
Long and hard to setup (It took me and one other person 2 hours to set up)
For these reasons I would not recommend this bike to an aspiring athlete or anyone who wants a high quality exercise bike, although I have made good use out of it and it has many useful features. Obviously it is not intended to be a top of the range exercise bike but for the cost it is worthwhile. For anyone looking for a high quality fitness bike without most of the cons I mentioned and with most of the pros I would recommend this one, https://www.amazon.co.uk/York-Fitness-Perform-210-Exercise/dp/B0085WVW2A/ref=sr_1_2?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1514983122&sr=1-2&keywords=York+fitness+bike.
It took about an hour to put together. Its quite a small bike and if you cycle already I'd think about paying a bit more as the clunky resistance adjustor may not give you the higher settings you might need to properly workout.
I think its maybe more of a beginners bike. The display computer is grey with black lettering which isnt well lit so its not easy to read.
The biggest draw back is adjusting the seat height. Both my wife and I use it so we have to adjust it every day and its difficult to find the correct hole with the locking pin. Maybe this takes practice.
Actually the ride is quite smooth but the display and handle bars are very low I feel.
I guess its worth it for the money and my review is based on comparing it to a much better/older bike. So if you're a shorter person who wants a nice lightweight bike thats ok then this bike will suit.
It was also remarkable just how small a box it was packed into. This worried me because it suggested that a pretty serious reconstruction effort would be required in order to deal with the thousands of parts that were bound to tumble out of the box when opened. I was pleasantly surprised to find that things weren't as bad as I was expecting - in the end it took me no more than 30 minutes to get the bike into working order. Not an EASY process by any means - the rear "foot" can go on in any one of four ways (probably more if you're particularly inventive) only one of which is correct - so pay close attention to the instructions. Putting the handlebars on is a little tricky too and an extra pair of hands wouldn't go amiss at this stage.
Once put together this seems to operate well as an exercise bike. I have no experience with these machines - this is my first one - but the tension control to adjust the rolling resistance and the LCD display make this what appears to be a basic but nicely functional machine. The display unit shows predicted speed & distance, pedal rpm, calories burned, elapsed time and even your pulse rate (there is a sensor in the handlebars). All very useful, although the refresh rate seems to be quite low.
The seat is big and comfortable as are the and pedals - quite comfortable enough that I can use the bike bare-foot. The handle bars' foam grips give off a rather plasticky smell and I wonder how long they'll last before I have to replace them with handle bar tape. The frame is also prety chunky - sufficiently agricultural to support my +100kg body.
Overall this seems like a very decent bike and good value.
