Just a forewarning: Does not come with the gap spacers or 5 extra strings, only has one extra string. Other than that, this yoyo is awesome. It is better in every way than my old yoyo, and Xodus II. The gap is just over 1/8" wide, which is a lot wider than it sounds. It's great for string tricks, and instead of only having one side unscrew like my Xodus, either side will unscrew so when you knot the string up inside, you don't have to worry about the bearing falling off and getting lost. The rubber return system is great. It's the best medium between nonresponsive yoyos and those spiked return systems. For instance, I could never do the trick Sea Sick on my Xodus, since it kept snagging, but now that I have the Hot Shot, I can do it with ease. It also has a very long sleep time, which is great for repetition tricks like Barrel Rolls and Atomic Bomb. The wide gap is also a huge advantage for tricks like Mach 5 and Pop & Fresh, since you can have the string running through the gap 3 or 4 times and not have it snag. The only bad thing about this yoyo is that it's not good for beginners. I let a couple of my friends who don't yoyo try it, and none of them could get it back to their hand. I would recommend it for people who have already had a ball bearing yoyo and feel like they are ready to take a step up. As for durability, I haven't had it long enough to tell, but I've banged it around a bit and nothing seems to be coming loose. There is, however, a little crack in the rim, but it isn't big enough to cause any problems. The yoyo is light enough so that it doesn't hurt on the return, but heavy enough with the aluminum weights so that it can sleep for quite a while. Overall, this yoyo is great, as long as you have some experience under your belt.

This yoyo is great. It has a long sleep time and its great for learning new tricks. I think this is one of the best yoyos i have. The yoyo is able to be taken apart, it is not broken. The peice in the middle is reversable. It comes with a dvd on tricks and a extra rope/ string. You might have to customize the string so that it doesnt hit the ground. But im sure there are videoes on how to do so.

I used this yoyo non stop at school for 2 years and i was able to impress my friends with all the complicated string tricks and how smoothly it rides. I even started a trend with it!

I bought this for my daughter who is new to yo-yo tricks. The varying color ended up to be a light metallic blue. It arrived quickly and the DVD has been very helpful in learning new tricks. She has had no issues with it and has had lots of fun with it.
