I really like that its written to help every pregnant lady have the best pregnancy experience that they can have. From the very beginning all the way to that often forgotten fourth trimester.
Without rambling on, it is divided up by trimester. It is full of information on pregnancy, healthy eating and suitable yoga sequences as you journey through your 40wks ( as well as explaining what to avoid) The sequences are easy to follow and need no special equipment so are easy to do at home. It also looks at and explains the basic principles and benefits of yoga in a non preachy kind of way, so great for beginners.
I've been lucky enough to attend Yogabellie's classes. If you do not have any local classes, this book and the dvd are the next best thing.
The book has lots of short sections, (which is great for me as long chunks of text often lose me,) you can dip in and out of this book day by day / month by month through pregnancy. I also love the breathing techniques, a great way to focus and prepare for the big day! Overall a really useful practical book, would definitely recommend
Suitable for all levels of Yoga practitioners (even total beginners,) this book offers postures and sequences for different stages of pregnancy, and details how postures that a yogi is familiar with already can be safely adapted for pregnancy. It is written in a clear and down to earth tone and is a great way to introduce Yoga into your daily routine.
