Praise for The Hundred Thousand Places:
The sense of windswept tranquillity that rises from Clark's pages was a haven. Hypnotic. --Rosemary Goring, Glasgow Herald
The language doesn't just advise patience, it enacts it. And this makes the poems very like songs... --Peter Riley
It was with great pleasure I read and welcomed the brief but multiple encounters that make up Yellow & Blue. --
Hayden Murphy, Sunday Herald
These are love poems to the geography of Scotland and in their own inimitable way bring a clarity and vision to the 'scree slope' that 'tumbles/ into the green lochan.' --
Casey Charles, Dundee University Review of the Arts
About the Author
Thomas A. Clark lives in the small fishing village of Pittenweem, on the East coast of Scotland. From 1986-2002, with the artist Laurie Clark, in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, he ran Cairn Gallery, one of the most respected small galleries of its time, showing minimal, conceptual and land art. Numerous small publications from Moschatel Press explore the structure of the book as imaginative space.
