A stunning rework of the original game based on the 50th anniversary of Dr Who. Chased this for ages and was delighted to find it on Marketplace after much searching. Beautifully made and the TARDIS shaker/container is superbly detailed and hard wearing. Vworp! Vworp!

Bought for a Christmas present for my father, a life long Dr Who fan who's favourite board game just happens to be Yahtzee so I was thrilled to come across this, item arrived exactly when expect and although I haven't opened it it looks great, fairly weighty and fantastic attention to detail, can't wait to gift this as I'm sure it will be well received

5.0 out of 5 stars So pleased with this! 2 Dec. 2012
By Christine - Published on Amazon.com
I was the first person WhoNA sold this to, before most places lifted their pre-order, and for way less than listed here. I was so excited and as soon as I got home, I carefully removed everything from its package and grinned from ear to ear. The TARDIS shaker is very beautifully crafted. It's plastic, but it's etched so it gives off the illusion of wood. And it's quite durable plastic. As well as being the dice-shaker, the TARDIS conveniently holds the pencils/score cards/die. The TARDIS also looks beautiful on a shelf - no one would even know inside it contains a classic game. The die are fun as they feature some of the more popular villains, with different colored backgrounds. The different colored backgrounds makes it so one can easily play Rainbow Yahtzee with this set if one so pleases. The ONLY negative, if someone were to nitpick for a negative, is that the interior of the TARDIS isn't felted so that if one were really adamant about using the TARDIS as the shaker, it is quite loud. But that doesn't bother me as I'm quite happy with the TARDIS sitting nearby and shaking the die with the cup of my hand as even with traditional Yahtzee I usually tend not to use the shaker.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love the game, but the graphics rub of the dice quickly. 10 Jan. 2013

Loved it too much, I guess. May spring for a more quality set of dice. It's not even a month old.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's bigger on the inside! 23 Jan. 2013

Actually, it's not. But it looks great. Nice detail and bigger than it looks in the pictures. Plus it plays Yahtzee, so that's nice too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tardis is bigger than you'd expect 16 April 2013

Normally you might expect a little 3-4 inch shaker cup but this is twice that size. There is a wood like texture to the plastic and nice details like the sign text and the St John Ambulance sticker. I posted an image showing the package with a reference for size. Overall a great addition for any Doctor Who fan.

2.0 out of 5 stars Well, it LOOKS cool.... 30 Dec. 2013

Beautiful tardis die cup, could have been lined with felt to minimize the noise though. Die are easy to read, with character pictures on the sides, and sort of color coded too.

BUT.

You can't play a REAL game of Yahtzee with it. The die are badly weighted and always land on the same things. It might be fun for kids little enough to not know how to play, but then, they are probably too young to be playing with things they could swallow anyway, so I guess it's a shelf sitter of a game.
