I bought this to use my iPhone as a webcam. The device attaches to one of my computer monitosr easily but can't be attached to a slightly thicker monitor. The device does not have anything to hold the phone in place and unless the device is inclined backwards, the phone simply falls off. It is therefore noe use for holding expensive smartphones.

The device can be pulled apart and re-assembled to switch from a left hand to a right handed configuration. This highlights the flimsy build quality. The device cannot be used to place the phone above or below the monitor.

A useless design and very poor value for money. Unfortunately, my wife threw the packaging away otherwise I would be returning it. Don't buy this, look for something that will hold your phone securely.

Sturdy clip and very easy to use. I have clipped it either to the side of a laptop screen or an iPad. The clip spring is very strong and once fixed it holds the phone very firmly. Indeed the spring is so strong it needs to hands to hold the clip and pull back the spring before fixing. It is strong enough to operate the phone without it moving. I have used with an iPad 7 in a thick Otter case and an iPhone 11. Once fixed the phone holder can pivot through 110 degrees so easy to adjust for perfect line of sight. The gap at the bottom allows a charge lead to be left in to keep the phone fully charged from a USB on the PC. My partner plays Bridge and finds it great to have the Bridge game on the screen and then chat to other card players simultaneously on FaceTime or What’s App.
The clip is protected by a rubber sleeve and so doesn’t damage the screen . One of the sleeves is thicker than the other and can be pulled off to allow it to fit to thicket display screens. Also, the phone holder can be removed and reversed on its hinge clip to allow it to be positioned either on the left- or right-hand side of the screen.
I have also used when working on documents and talking to colleagues on the phone at the same time (so blokes can multitask after all and leaves a hand free for beer glass!)
So, a simple idea that works well and I can recommend

A great little bit of kit this, doesn't take up much space and does the job its made for perfectly well.
Been using this on my laptop screen during this whole work from home thing and its been a blessing to have the two screens right next to each other, what with various messengers going off and emails and things :)
Not sure how I managed without this!
Clips onto the screen with ease, no pressure on the actual screen, all bezel, and is very stable too :)

It was super easy to clip it on. No assembly needed, just widened the clip and put it on. You'll definitely need a monitor that's not too deep but that's standard these days. I think the listing has dimensions required on it.

For the price you pay for this bit of kit its very disappointing and underwhelming. The only thing holding up your phone is 2 curves which means you can not adjust your laptop monitor or even move without your phone at risk of sliding off and falling. Because of the lack of security it makes it difficult to use, impractical and honestly not worth it.

I bought this for use when i work at home and in the office as usung MS Teams more and more, so useful to have phone propped up. It clamps well on my office monitor, but because the monitor doesn't have a "surrounding edge" it does get in the way and overlaps the screen and makes using things such as the scroll bar in office suite difficult My home pc has an edge, but the clamp keeps slipping off when my phone is stood in it.
