The SD UniSuction 360 car holder has been designed to allow you to position your hand-held device horizontally or vertically, either on your windscreen or on the dashboard.
The SD UniSuction 360 car holder is a small and discreet windscreen and dashboard mount, which doesn't obstruct your view of the road. It's designed with a unique ball joint and bracket system, which allows you to use the holder on either your cars windscreen or the dashboard. Its rotating bracket allows you to use your device in either landscape or portrait positions.
The holder also comes with an adhesive plate, which fixes on to your dashboard allowing you to use the holder either on your windscreen or on your dashboard, which makes it perfect if you're using your phone as your Sat Nav whilst driving. With the adjustable swivel bracket you can easily remove the car holder from your windscreen and place it on the dashboard.
The SD UniSuction 360 also features soft pads that gently cushion your device whilst it's in the holder ensuring that your device will not slip out.
Nice and compact, work with my xperia go, with the extendable clamp, it should work with most phone anyway. good news end here, unfortunately. Let down by the suction pad. It is a very thick, non-flexible rubber, so it only works well with the very flat surface, such as the sticky pad it provided. So it limits where it can go and not portable from one car to another. It struggle with both the windscreen and the side windows. So overall, I won't recommend it.
It does exactly what you want it to do. It will only stick to the sticky thing that it comes with tho, so you have to decide where you want it and it has to stay there for good as you can't move the sticky pad around. Apart from I am pleased :).
Didn't think it worth buying, but as my old holder broke I had no other option. It is perfect for HTC C, but could not state the same about Xperia S. A bit inconvenient to hold it, had to place a plastic cover over the phone. Tied in rubber, unfortunately, rubber is too soft and from driving vibration was getting volume buttons pressed. Used it with installed tom tom on my phone. Holder is perfect, just a bit not suitable for Xperia.
The product arrived fairly quickly, on opening the package i saw that the build quality was good, it was strong and the ball joint connection that swivels was tight making for firm positioning of the holder. The only downside was the sticky pad, i hyad cleaned the area where the holder was going with alcohol and let it dry, i then positioned the sticky pad and left it for a few hours so that it would bond with the surface. Put my phone in and away i went........it worked fine. Got up the next morning and the whole thing was on the floor including sticky pad which was now covered in hairs etc from the mats. Cleaned everything the best i could and repeated the process, next morning the same.............The product itself was ok, just the sticky pad doesn't work.
I bought this to use essentially when I use the GPS on the Xperia U, so I don't have to be constantly looking down at it, however, to fix it on the glass is a bit tricky, I tried five times, and only at the fifth attempt it sticked properly.
After fixing it it looks solid, but, unfortunately, since it is a bit hard to fix it, sometimes I rather look down then go through the hassle of puting it in place.
The spring is too strong. It takes 2 hands to mount the phone, and then if you are not very careful after a short while the phone is ejected from the mount. Personally I prefer my phone where I can see it, rather than having to scrabble around in the footwell hunting for it.
This is advertised for use with the Sony Xperia Z2, But when fitting my Z2 into the holder it clamps down on the Power and volume buttons that are on the side and in the middle of the phone, i havent seen the rest of the Xperia phone range but im assuming they are the same. needless to say the pressure on the buttons causes the volume to go to mute or full blast or up and down depending on how you are driving. This is most certainly NOT good for Sony Xperia phones......
