I was looking for a phone I could play games and watch media on and came upon this phone from a Xiaomi social media promotion. I had received it for the early bird price of £219 which is an absolute steal for what your getting here.Pros:-Amazing high quality display with AMOLED screen at 120hz.-The 108mp camera (bins down to 12mp) shoots incredibly detailed pictures which I'd argue is even better than some flagships. There is also a decent ultrawide angle camera for wide shots as well as a pretty good macro lens (see pictures) that actually has auto focus surprisingly.-battery is massive (Over 5000!) and it well lasted me over a day even with heavy gaming and media.-The phone is stylish and doesn't look like a cheap phone at all ( I went with the sunset orange colour).-The phone has dual sim and micro SD card expansion (at the same time!) meaning I can actually recommend people to get the lower storage 64gb model as its much better value for the price than the 128gb model.Now this is phone isn't perfect and I would like to point out at its faults.Cons:-Though the 120hz display is amazing and certainly better than a regular 60hz display, I find that there are too many stutters whilst scrolling through apps and can see that the 120hz isn't constant.-MIUI has certainly gotten better over the years but there are still a lot of bloatware and Mi services that do get annoying.-There are ads baked into some Xiaomi apps which brings a demerit to user experience.-Last one the deal breaker for me is that while the processor (SD 732g) is capable and can run most games smoothly, I find that it does struggle with games demanding 120hz or even 60hz at lower settings. Example games like Minecraft and Air combat.Conclusion:Though the last con was a deal breaker for me, I realise that you can get around the Xiaomi ads and services by simply using or downloading the google apps instead as the google dialler and messages app is already preinstalled on the phone. As long as you aren't into heavy gaming, I think this phone is incredible value for what your getting here for the price. I have had to return this phone as I only needed a phone for gaming but for everything else I could see myself using this phone with no issues.
