Solid powerbank but not for carrying out and about

The delivery of the powerbank took a while but that was expected and was clearly stated on the estimated dispatch.

The actual item itself is very well made, sleek but weighty, a good solid feel overall, i was already aware of fake MI powerbanks being sold after having read some reviews online before purchase, and because Xiaomi wasn't officially selling in the UK through it's own stores,I carried out some research via google, I was glad to find out that the item was legit.

Performance wise, it took a solid 11hours to charge to full capacity, this was using the supplied cable and an apple usb adapter i normally use to charge my phone,
From full charge, i managed to fully charge an ipad2, and 2 x iphone 6, especially impressed as i know how long it takes to charge the ipad2 alone (about 9 hours), there were 2 lights left after the usage, and i felt i could have used again to charge the phones again

Overall i'm satisfied, the purchase is intended to be used for a trip abroad, and although it isnt something you want to keep in your bag, i can easily see this being used in the car or at the hotel when there's just not enough plug sockets available, or you need to use a device away from a wall socket.

I searched the internet about how to identify if it is the original product (or the fake one)
Every physical characteristics seemed to indicate that it is the original one BUT...

1. when I checked the authenticity using the security code; it says that 'the code has been queried 1 time' (I hope that 1 time means the check I did)
2. I read that mobile phone should be directly charge when connected to the power bank, but mine doesn't. I need to press the button on the power bank for it to actually charge my phone.

But overall, I guess it's more likely to be a genuine one (from the various physical check I did base on the info I got from the internet)

I can't believe I waited so long to buy a power bank. Like...seriously. I'm always in struggle-city with 2% battery left trying to order an Uber, or traveling without easy access to a power source. This is a *life-SAVER* if you often find yourself running out of battery power on your devices. I have 2 iPhones, 1 blackberry and an iPad that I need to keep charged, and this does the trick. I haven't tested how many 'full charges' I can get from this, but I don't really use it to fully charge anyway: I use it when I'm running low on battery and need to add a good 30-40% until I can get to a power source. That said, I've definitely fully recharged and iPhone 6 and still had charge left in the bank. All in all, love this thing and now, it is yet another device that I can't live without.

Really nice, powerful device. Its so reliable and I'd definitely recommend it. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because the instructions weren't in English, and it didn't say so on the product description, so I had to go online to find them? And there is an English version? So I just think that English versions of the product should be shipped to customers who are in the UK.

It looks stylish and is about the same size as a modern mobile phone so can easily fit in your jacket pocket/bag. The charging time is approximately 1.5 hours if you have a 2A plug and cable and it will hold about one complete charge for a Samsung Galaxy S5 or similar modern mobile.

Xiaomi may not be a well known brand in the west, but in China they are a massive company. I have used one of their phones for a while, and have been amazed at how good it is. Frankly, it makes phones by Samsung in particular look grossly overpriced.

This power bank is no different. The quality is certainly a cut above the usual generic product sold at this price point, and the performance is excellent. The 5000 mAh unit I purchased can easily charge any modern smartphone fully, and it is small and slim enough to be carried easily.

I would not hesitate to recommend this item.

Just a small update on this product , it has charged my iphone and also my windows phone and is busy at the moment charging my Linx 8 inch tablet , i have too say that this is the best power bank that i have bought and it works brilliant for value for money and quick delivey its the dogs Boxxicks and the seller was excellent , the only advice i can give is buy one you will not be dissapointed , excellent build quaility on a par with apple well packaged and a beutiful design quality.
