The graphics are excellent, and this machine is a clear advancement over the previous generation of game console (e.g. Xbox 360). It comes with a 500GB hard-drive - allowing you to save lots of game data (although I've added a 2TB expansion). My brother has a PS4, and some of the same games as me, and I really can't see any differences AT ALL between the two systems - in terms of how the game play looks and feels. In my opinion, they're equally matched consoles - so it's all about personal choice. I opted for an Xbox One as I'd preferred the Xbox 360 to the PS3 - especially the feel of the hand controller (note: the console comes with one controller). But I fully understand PS3 gamers opting for the PS4 ...
And now, with backward compatibility having been introduced to the Xbox One (so it'll play the older 360 games), I'm really glad I opted to buy this console.
It does take a while - a few hours - to initially set up, and requires an internet connection. And I'm not happy that each game has to be downloaded the first time it's played (taking up to 30 minutes). But other than that, I've no criticisms of this console.
Mine came with the 'Grand Theft Auto V' game (not my cup of tea). My favourite game so far is 'Batman: Arkham Knight'. I regularly buy games, and I've started writing reviews of these (I also regularly play on an Xbox 360 and Wii U, as well as a PS4 and PS4 - and review games for all consoles).
An Xbox One console costs about £240. An additional controller - for 2-player action - will cost about £40. And a new game will cost around £40 ... so it's certainly not cheap. But it's a great deal of fun - if you enjoy playing videogames. In my opinion, this is the best all-round console presently available.
