I must say however that you are better off buying 2 2100 cards as it works out £4 cheper than buying the 4200 card.
mirosoft could do better with offering more points on a card for a cheaper price ie. 6000 points for £30
What I find weird is how expensive the points are to get on XBox live. Considering with this you get a little card posted to you in it's box where on XBox Live they just top up your balance, it's all a bit daft.
Personally at times I remember the Simpsons episode where the family go to Itchy and Scratchy Land and Homer is talked into buying Itchy and Scratchy money and when he gets in the park no one takes it. With Microsoft Points the whole issue is trying to work out what each point costs.
The only way I found out that works is to divide the cost of the card by the number of points on it. So on a 4200 point card at £32.99 you are looking at about .7855 of a penny per point. Working on from that a 240 point download costs £1.89, 800 points is £6.28 and 1200 is £9.43.
I do find that when I transfer points to the kids they seem to have no concept of the 'cost', but I just try to make them wait for 'sales' or special offers.
Having bought a Battlefield 3 DLC for 800 points that later dropped to 400 I have been burnt once..................
however delivery was a bit slow on this order, which was surprising, as all previous orders were delivered promptly
however as it was just prior to Xmas, must make allowances for this
overall very satisfied
