The PSU looks great and runs quietly.
I was pleased with the 5 year warranty and suprised to see that it can power my hungry AMD FX 6300 and Radeon 7850 without any problems (so far)

Some might recommend the similarly priced CX430 over this PSU, or perhaps the modular variety.
However, I would reccomend this product over the CX series, as it delivers more power, operates quieter and is more reliable than the Corsair, as well as coming with enough cables for most users. Any excess cables can be tucked into a hard drive cage effortlessly.

This PSU is great for anyone looking for a low price, reliable power source.

Became faulty after 6 months, no refund, no contact with seller.

After the product became faultly (noise coming from fan, very high temperatures) after more or less 6 months, I contacted XFX looking for a refund or replacement. The producer sent me back to the seller and they asked me to pass on the PSU to them and they'll take care of the refund/replacement. After about 2 weeks I tried re-contacting them after sending the PSU and they didn't reply to this date (about 2 months, I emailed multiple times). So I contacted amazon, clearly explaining the situation. I was told they ll get back to me within 48 hours. After about 4 days I contacted them again, since there was no message back. Then, I was told I was misinformed and I will be contacted within another 5 working days. I waited 2 weeks, with no reply. I contacted amazon again today and I was told nothing can be done from their side... the prouct has a 3 year guarantee, and no one wasn't to fulfill this guarantee, not the producer, not the reseller, not even amazon.

I am very disappointed with this product and Bora computers. Horrible customer service, after multiple email attempts I got one simple reply, and again, they stopped emailing back. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. If something goes wrong with this product, no-one wil take responsibility. Don't buy it here.

Good but I have a faulty unit

Well built, affordable power supply - gets the job done without any issues.

Sadly after a couple of months it started making an annoying clicking noise. Stupidly I opened it to remove a plastic guard inside which I thought to be touching the fan, but actually the sound is caused by some electric component arcing and producing a repetitive noise. With the warranty voided, I kept using the PSU waiting for it to break, but I've been using for years now and it just works.

Been using these for about a year, no problems what so ever, powers a 125watt TDP CPU (fx-8350) and an 180watt GPU (R930x) and and hard drive + SSD just fine. Quet, although i do have other cooling fans so it's basically cooling itself.

As I've read these are not built with total crap components like some other cheap PSUs, and I can vouch for those in the past being a pain in the arse. Ideally you'd want to be spending around £40 for this.

This is also a real 450W PSU unlike cheaper ones that do mental gymnastics when calculating power output.

Great power supply, I think it falls under tier 2 class A power supplies even though it is quite budget friendly. Currently running an Athlon 760k @ 4.3 GHz and a Sapphire 7850 on this, no problems at all. You do NOT need a lot of power, and yes, you can easily run a GTX 970 with 450W (provided it's a good power supply).

- Slow spinning fan causes the power supply unit heats up even at low load. If it is mounted on the bottom of the case, then you need to have a well-ventilated enclosure.
