Very good value for money graphics card. I upgraded from a 8600Gt for this and can now runs games at a lot better quality. Plays the latest games including Tomb Raider, Dead Space, FallOut 3 and Left For Dead with no problems. But it did struggle a little with Need For Speed Undercover. But I think thats more about the programming of that game.
Large graphics card, make sure you have a large pc case and a decent power supply as this will need its own power supply cable. I also added an exhaust fan to my pc to remove the heat it produces. Well worth it, and my bargain of the year.

Extremely great graphics card for the price!

I am a keen PC gamer, and I wasn't too sure whether to upgrade my current PC or buy a new one. Its easier to lose sight of what you already have, so I just wanted to cherish the PC i already have and buy a graphics card upgrade. I used to have a GeForce 7900GS, which was a superb card which came with my pc at the time (almost 3 years ago). But due to extreme overheating problems, and lagg, it was finally time to look at a new one.

At 16, I would say I am slightly more different to other people my age that I would usually hang around with, in the sense that I can pretty much identify all the parts in a PC, and i more so play my PC rather than Xbox 360.

So I found this card. I wasn't too sure it would fit the case and the power supply, but another review assured others that it will work with a dell 9150. Now i am pleased to say that all my games are pretty much lagg - free. It is much easier to play with this card, since there is an instant improvement. Loading times in games have been reduced, and the quality of all games are perfect.

The card is very BIG. The size that they said. But if you stack 2 DVD cases on top of eachother that is roughly the height of the card.

The card is obviously not 'the best of the best', but if you are looking for a worthy upgrade for gaming at a cheaper price, then you are looking at an extremely good competitor. It can be used in SLI mode, and it has a ball-fan for the upper-part and an exhaust fan on the bottom part for better cooling. The card is also really quiet (sometimes i think it aint even running). And if that isn't enough to satisfy, it even comes with a Free-game: Company of Heroes!

All in all, a great gaming card, but even better because of the price. Will beat any other card in that price range!

My PC Specs: Dell 9150 with 375 Watt standard power supply, 2GBRAM, 320GB SATA hard drive, Intel core 2 duo 3GHz processors, and now an XFX GeForce 8800GTS!

Solid card

I'm not amazing with PCs, but a friend recommended this card on the basis of its performance in his system, and considering what I could afford.

I'm running with a 600w PSU, 4gb DDR2 RAM, an intel chipset - processor 2.2 dual core overclocked to 2.4. Fans on PSU, CPU and vid card, with one case fan to get airflow.

The card idles at 46C for me, and hits 68-70C under strain with the fan running 100% speed, and it's not loud enough to distract or be annoying.

The card itself is big - roughly the width of 2 DVD cases which meant I had to do some rearranging to get it to fit.

Running games-wise, I get smooth performance on Sims 3 on high settings, Wow medium, BF: Bad Company 2 low-medium and CoD: Modern Warfare 2 medium-high.

If you want a reasonably priced card that will handle the more recent games, and you are not concerned with the absolute best graphics but still want some quality this is a nice choice. That said, I have a feeling that in 2 years, possibly less, this card may start to struggle. If you're building a new system you probably want to save some cash up and go for something more recent and higher end. If not, this card more than does the job.

Great But HUGE!!! Card

Hi I recieved this product last week, Its a fantastic card for the money with great reviews allover the internet. It also has scored great in benchmark tests way above its league. My points to buyers

1. This card is huge !!! I would sugest that u get 2 dvd cases and see if they fit !!

2. This card requires a 6-PIN seperate power supply !! and make sure you have a PSU over 400w recomended.

3. Id your using a HDMI cable from DVI or DVI to DVI if u want the best from this card make sure its a 24pin Cable or u wont get those 720p + resolutions.

4.The xfx software isnt that great.* and xfx customer support said* I would reccomend going straight to nvidia and getting the 185. ( posted on 15 may 2009) Drivers.

5. This isnt major but something I would advise this card has a top mounted fan that that sucks in air and blows it out the back. Make sure ur power supply dosent blow hot air into the card as the performance in gaming and design might suffer.

All round this is a great card. I use it for DTP and Design as well as watching bluerays. and its copes fantastic. If u have the cash look at the new 512 over clocked version :)

Quality graphics at a great price.

This card copes with all the recent games with ease, And at a great price, My only regret is I rushed into buying this card and did'nt realize that you can get this same card up to 512 XFX GF 8800 GTS 500M 320MB DDR3 DUAL DVI TV PCI EXPRESS MB for a bit more money to future proof yourself abit longer, But having said that it still runs games on high res easy.A note to people thinking of getting this card, You can only run this card with a SLI power supply, This card needs it's own 1x6 pin dedecated power supply, And also it's quite big it's roughly about the size of one and a half dvd cases, And it does get hot, When I first installed this card the fan speed would increase and get noisier just runing xp alone, So i made a vent and fitted a fan to suck cool air in the front of my case and straight away this lowered the speed and noise alot. To sum up a great card that can handle the latest games with ease at a great price, But make sure your case is ready to handle this monster card!.
