Why is a paper bin needed?
The age of the computer was also seen as the dawn of the brave new world of the paperless office. Although the focus has shifted from dumping to recycling all that paper, the paper bin for collecting it remains as important as ever. After all, scrunching up pages of redundant ideas and hurling them into a bin is much more satisfying than dragging a file icon into a trash icon on a screen.
Of course, it’s not just the document-laden office which needs paper bins- there are few households today which don’t feature one in every room. In this recycling-aware age there are bins to separate paper from household waste in the kitchen, bins for general light rubbish in the bedroom and bathroom and bins in living and dining rooms to collect the general detritus we discard as we go about our daily lives.
