Something I didn't imagine until reading this, but I should expect nothing else from Peter Davids work on X-factor. While it isn't perfect his X-factor is a very strong comic overall, he actually uses his characters well and makes seemingly dull characters likeable and or interesting. Here he uses arcade well and changes X-factors status quo, something shown more in the next volume. Plot and action aside it is the character drama that sets this apart from many books and this volume is no exception. The art is very solid if unspectacular.
