About the Author

Jacob Tate is an Amazon Dark Fantasy Best Selling Author who writes with a focus in paranormal, mystery, horror and fantasy. Currently residing in Lebanon, OH. His passion includes gore, monsters, decapitations and other totally rad things similar to these. His first book of the Max Cutter series is available now on Kindle/Amazon. Jacob writes with a humorous style to accompany the horror and supernatural components, and it revolves around a fun loving and sarcastic central character. Max is often thrust into extremely dangerous situations and symbolizes being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He counters the awkwardness of facing monsters, ghosts, demons and potential death through a wry and catching wit. A child of the 80's, Jacob infuses his work with a number of movie, cartoon and TV references that date back to Star Wars and work their way up until present day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wyatt Watkins and the Adder Stones 19 April 2017
By Bill Tillman - Published on Amazon.com

Wow, what a wonderful mid-grade book. Keeps you strapped into your seat. Wyatt Watkins is a block bust of a mid-grade book. Very early Wyatt comes into the position of an adder stone. HIs life will never be the same, hidden monsters are the dark all around his dad's new property. This is one rocky ride which will keep you turning pages into the early morning.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Awesome! 10 April 2017

This is an excellent story with wonderful characters you feel you know. The Watkins family move to a new town after a tremendous loss. They meet new friends and begin to settle in...but then the Watchers appear...This is an adventure, a mystery, a bit of magic, and a bit of scary, all rolled into a very enjoyable book. I'm ready for book two now...but beware, when you begin to read, set aside some time, because you won't want to put this book down, and I suspect the same will happen with book 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this adventure!! 13 Jun. 2015

Great start to hopefully a larger series. I loved the in-depth character development and awesome story line. Wyatt, the main character, is a young adventurer who is simply trying to adjust to life in his new surroundings when he is thrust into an ancient good vs. evil struggle. Wyatt and his friends become the main focus as the action starts to take place. These action sequences cutting back and forth were impressive given everything that was happening at the same time. The author does a fantastic job making it easy for you to feel like you are right in the middle of the fight. I also loved the colorful descriptions of the town, The Pumpkin Smash and parade taking place. The ending of the book left me hanging on the edge of my seat. I need to know what happens to Wyatt and his friends next. When is the next book coming? Please hurry!

5.0 out of 5 stars The vivid descriptions make you feel like you're watching a movie 22 Jun. 2015
By SEG - Published on Amazon.com

Wow! This book definitely holds your attention. The vivid descriptions make you feel like you're watching a movie. It reminds me of the old scary campfire stories - ones that kept you on edge, ones that you wanted to say didn't scare you, but that did. I can't hear the wind without looking towards the tree lines to search for "The Watchers".

This book has a broad age appeal with its classic struggle of good versus evil and the great family values that run through it. A great way to get kids and adults reading. This would make a great classroom read and would provide many discussion options - theme, character development, to name a few. Can't wait for the next book to be published.
5.0 out of 5 stars A fun, and enjoyable story 16 May 2017

This book was exciting, and intriguing. The things that happen in the story had me curious and made me want to know more. I enjoyed the writing style and the author did a great job painting a picture of Wyatt's life and the things around him. I'm eager to read the next book to find out what happens next.
