5.0 out of 5 stars Real handy reference if you want to know what's correct grammar. 15 Aug. 2014
By Jerry Guild - Published on
If you're looking for a handy reference for Grammer, this will certainly fill the bill.English is a living language ,;and it has never been more lively than today. This 3rd edition of this popular reference has only about 350 pages compared to the latest with over 500 pages. It is constructed of high quality paper and printing and with itys plastic coil binding lies nice and flan=t when opened. It has lots of tabs which make various topics easy to find.
With the way writing and grammar are going today in the world of texting ,one has to wonder if the way things are written a few decades from now, would even be understood by people of today.Much the same with cursive writing.Apparently many schools no longer teach it.
I have to admit,I have become very loose with my writing, and don't maintain the rules,,or even know what I learned in school or what is covered in this reference.
All that being said,I find this a very informative reference and I will often turn to it anytime I want to know what's correct in good grammar and /or punctuation.
BTW, my teachers would have no problem finding lots to correct in this review;but maybe they'd give me a few points ,at least for continuing to write.
