I floved this, so damn hard. A fantastic end to one of my very favourite series ever. From The Chicago Wars I had a pretty good idea of where Dino and Karen's story was going to end, but that in no way detracted from the epicness that I've just had the pleasure of reading.

I loved Dino and Karen in Waste of Worth and adored them in this one. The author had plenty of opportunity to go into flashback mode and I'm so thrilled that she didn't. She's got such a gift of giving me all the detail I want and need without over-saturating the story or allowing the boredom to kick in. In fact I found myself skimming to find out what was going to happen next and had to force myself to slow down, go back and read what I'd just skimmed. I love it when a book grabs me like this, where sleep is just not necessary because reading becomes way more important. This happens when I read a BK book and this one was no different. Add to this no cheating, no ex drama, no ridiculous misunderstandings and you have magic!

Thank you BK for giving us Dino's story, it was fantastic.

This review is going to be short and sweet! READ IT! An absolute must read for all Bethany-Kris fans. Obviously you must read Waste of Worth first, then do not stop...read this directly after.

Dino DeLuca has to be one of the most charismatic characters that Bethany-Kris has ever created. He lays it all out there. He leaves us all wanting more. His story is one that must be read. A must read!

This duet is one of my favorites from Bethany-Kris. Each time I think she can't surprise me....boom I'm floored. I loved every page.

Thank you, Bethany-Kris, for Dino's story!

I loved this book so much!!! I enjoyed it a lot more than the first book. For me Dino is completley different to all of BK's heroines! I felt like this book was more somber and had more a sadder more darker tone. I had a lot of emotions going through my head. I really loved the characters. Karen was amazing and little Dino was too cute for words. I cant wait to read more from Bethany, she really did an amzing job with this book!!

These characters are great, they are real people trapped in a book, and I read both books one after the other. The way BK writes it just makes them so easy to read. Would recommend if you like it hot with mafia on the side.

Such an emotional powerful story.
This book carries on the story from 'Waste of Worth'. If you have not read book one you will need to do that first.
The duet also features characters from 'The Chicago War' series, so if you have read that series you will be very interested to learn about Dino as he was always quite a mystery but if you haven't read Chicago War, you will want to after reading this book to find out what happens to the rest of the people mentioned.
This book does not cover the same details as that series although it runs parallel with the first book, Deathless & Divided (The Chicago War, #1). It was interesting to find out the details you were not told in that series and see things/motives from Dino's POV.
You really feel Dino's desperation at his situation, he wants to look after Karen and J but also keep them safe and this makes things very, very difficult.
Ben is his usual evil self but we see some of Theo, he and Dino are not close due to conflict purposely created by their Uncle Ben but we see as he begins to realise things are not quite what they seem with Dino. It was interesting to see him taking Dino's back even when at times Dino didn't know it.
I found the story in places quite sad, for Karen and for the family lack of connection in the DeLuca family. Lily and Theo don't realise the motives behind Dino's actions and he would rather protect them and take the blame than explain, i wanted them to give him a hug. lol.
A HEA of sorts in the end, things are not perfect but its a tough situation so there is no easy solution that can make everyone happy. I wondered if there will be an opportunity to achieve this more in future generations of spin off books.
Well worth a read, def not a waste.
