Oh my days!!! This book triggered every emotion in me hope, joy, desperation and loss!! I've never had such an investment in a book from page one. I've never cried or laughed so much reading a book ever.

This story follows Abby Davis, single mum of 4 with another baby on the way and her chance meeting with Navy Seal Matt McKinney whilst on holiday. This was just meant to be a holiday friendship but what follows is not a traditional tale of boy meets girl and it's all happily ever after. Life, work and responsibilities all play their part on this road to happiness and I adored every page that I devoured.

Both Abby and Matt have secrets they keep hidden away. Desperate to protect their hearts from being hurt and broken again along with the fear of being left alone these two keep their guards up for self preservation and for Abby her children's hearts too. This is far from an angst ridden book and Abby's children offer such a realistic perspective, never allowing mum to speak, bumping into people and serious cases of brutal honesty that only a child can get away with!!

“...look at me. I’m coming back. Do you think I could walk away from this? That I won’t be running back to you as fast as I can?”

The decision they have to face is can you learn to trust someone with your heart and believe they'll always be there for you or is love not worth the fall for the pain that heart break can cause?

I cannot recommend this book enough and can't wait for more by Claudia Connor with Stephen's book!!

MY REVIEW

Ok so ive got to start by saying, i was expecting a steamy hot SEAL meets woman, watch my muscles, hear me roar type of romance. But what i got DAMN seriously, what i got was a sweet romantic beautiful and poignant tale of love, that hit me straight in the heart as the story unfolded, leaving me with a huge smile on my face.

This book really surprised me i loved every character, the children stole the show at times, and there dialogue so very cute.
The relationship that developed between Matt and the kids was beautifully written.
Matt was so very respectful of the children and Abby, the way he opened her up to want to be wanted and loved. Matt has his work cut out for him when is comes to Abby, he has to prove that he is not going to leave her to live her life alone without a partner who can support her and the children, the total opposite to what Abby is used to in her life.
I loved the gradual build of the relationship between Abby and Matt, it just seemed to happen so naturally.
There were struggles along the way for this couple but they overcame them together.

I laughed out loud, swooned over and over again, sighed and cried this book touches all your emotions and leaves you feeling good. Every word was a joy to read and i cannot wait to read about the next McKinney brother in <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00L6YJ6AE/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B00L6YJ6AE&linkCode=as2&tag=nisbobl01-21&linkId=L6MZXV5TTMWBLRTB">Worth the Risk (The McKinney Brothers, Book 2)</a><img src="http://ir-uk.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=nisbobl01-21&l=as2&o=2&a=B00L6YJ6AE" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" >

ok so i liked the book its was nice to read a good ole fashion romance .but i did keep having to say to myself it just fiction go with it cuz i had a hard time with the navy seal having lusty thoughts about a woman at the beach with her 4 kids in toe all under 7 and pregnant so fiction had to be kept rattling round my head it probably would have been more real for me without the pregnacy any hoo as i was saying nice read good storyline a nice bit easy reading

I'm struggling as I write this review which is irritating because 'Worth the Fall' was a 100% 5 star, loved it read and a totally unexpected pleasure - everything I've written doesn't do it justice and, in a sea of choices for romance, I want it to stand out, to somehow express how sweet this story is.

Claudia Connor reminded me why I read romance, why I love a man in uniform and how when family, love, humour and romance is done well, just how invested and captivated I can be in a book and its characters. She's a new author to me but one I will be investigating further (AKA Stalking!!!).
When I want that mix of romance, humour, hot and heart-warming my go to authors are Kristen Ashley, Rachel Gibson, Jennifer Crusie, Marie Harte, Susan Andersen and Jessica Prince. Claudia Connor was an unknown to me but her style is much like these favourites of mine. The cover is deceptive because this is not just your average military boy meets girl, hot and steamy commences then HEA, boom, done. It's a lovely, sweet tale that has grabbed you before you know it, the writing flows so easily. Matt and Abby you will root for, the children totally steal the show and whilst the couple have their issues and angst as the relationship progresses, I smiled through the whole book. Matt is all hot military alpha career man, Abby is a widow pregnant with her fifth child when they meet and it's so refreshing to have a man happy and comfortable to take on kids. I love all the interactions between them, Annie, Jack, Gracie and Charlie will steal your heart as effortlessly as they steal Matt's.

Before I read this I probably would have said sex with a pregnant woman would not be hot in a romance book, just goes to show how wrong I was because Oh Boy ** Fans Face ** !!!!!!!!!
